Drunk Truck Driver Destroys Hotel After Getting Denied Food [Video]

Drinking, driving, and getting angry at the same time is a combination for disaster waiting to take place. Recently, a prime example of what a truck driver under the heavy influence of alcohol can do has been shared online. In this short clip, a truck driver was seen destroying a hotel in Pune just because he was denied food at the place. This particular video has gone viral, showing how he deliberately destroyed a business while being drunk and out of control.

This video of a hotel’s destruction by a truck driver has been shared on X, courtesy of Punekar News. It has been mentioned that this particular incident took place in Pune’s Indapur. From the video, we can note that a container truck was first coming out of a hotel’s premises onto the main road.

What happens next is that the truck driver, instead of driving away, accelerates the truck and re-enters the hotel premises. After this, he does not stop his truck and goes on to ram into a parked scooter at the front gate of the hotel. We can also observe that there was a massive structure at the front gate, which was also destroyed by this container truck.

The video shows this, and we can hear the person recording the video narrating what was happening in Marathi. Just as he crashes his truck for the first time, a number of people were seen running towards the truck to try and stop the driver. These people stood inside a small garden of the hotel.

One of these men even threw a rock at the container truck’s cabin in an attempt to distract the driver. However, despite this, the truck driver managed to reverse the vehicle and again drove it. This time around, he managed to hit a parked white-colored Honda City.

Following this, he still did not stop his truck completely and once again hit the main gate of the hotel. He was on his fourth attempt to hit the hotel building. However, this time around, he came in front of the gate and stood there staring. He then also started shouting at the hotel staff and other people.

In the video, we can note that he was making the gesture of eating food by hand while shouting at the hotel staff. We can also hear that people outside were asking him to turn off the truck and come out. They even said that they wouldn’t hurt him if he came out of the truck.

At the same time, the video briefly turns and shows the damage done to the hotel property, scooter, and Honda City. Following this, we see that the truck driver instantly regretted his decision and was sitting with his hands over his head. The video continues to show the damage done by him.

Has this driver been arrested?

So far, there are no reports stating whether this truck driver has been arrested. However, many netizens on the platform have stated that in no way, shape, or form is this type of anger justified. Many people have even questioned the police authorities, asking why they do not have checkpoints to check if drivers are drunk.

Many people in the comments felt sorry for the hotel owner and the person who owned the Honda City. They stated that, even without having any fault, their properties were damaged. Many netizens have requested police authorities to arrest this driver and cancel his driving license.
