Drunk Woman In Mahindra XUV300 Obstructs ITBP Bus And Argues on the Road [Video]

Driving under the influence of alcohol is illegal not just in India but around the world. It is a major problem, and we have seen many people cause accidents and inconvenience to other road users after driving inebriated. They often engage in arguments with other road users too. Here, we have one such incident from the national capital, Delhi, where a drunk woman driving a car blocked the way of an ITBP force bus and argued with the personnel in the middle of the road. The video of the incident has been circulating online since then.
The video has been shared by paramilitary help CAPF on their X profile. It was recorded by one of the ITBP personnel who was traveling in the bus that was blocked by the woman. In the video, we see a woman standing outside a Mahindra XUV300 SUV in the middle of the road. Behind the XUV300 is a bus used by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) as their official vehicle. The woman blocked the way of the bus and started arguing with the personnel.
She claimed that the bus driver almost crashed into her car while overtaking. The post mentions that the woman came in front of the bus, was intentionally applying brakes, and was causing inconvenience to the bus driver. She eventually stopped the car in front of the bus and refused to give way. When the officers came out to check the car, they found that it was a woman driving. When they asked her to move the car, she started arguing with them.
The officers were on duty, and the woman was actually obstructing their way. She was allegedly drunk, and the ITBP officers can be heard saying this several times in the video. The woman alleged that the bus was being driven dangerously and that it almost crashed into her car.
The bus driver can be heard saying that they were not driving aggressively and that he could not do so as he was carrying personnel. The woman clearly caused chaos on the road, and she can be heard asking the officer to check the CCTV footage. The officer remained calm throughout the argument, and it was only toward the end of the video that he said he was going to call the police so they could take action against her.
She was, in fact, obstructing a government employee from performing his duty, which is a punishable offense. Besides this, if she was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, further legal action would be taken against her.
Never drive a car under the influence of alcohol. It is extremely dangerous not just for you but also for other road users. The woman driving the car could have easily caused an accident and injured herself along with others. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, always ensure that you do not drive the vehicle. Take a cab or the metro to your destination. Come back the next day and pick up your vehicle. There are several agencies that also provide drivers for such emergencies.
The legal limit of alcohol content in the blood is 0.03% or 30 mg per 100 ml of blood. If a person driving a car has a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) level of 30 mg per 100 ml of blood, he or she can be booked under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Drunk individuals often have compromised senses and slower response times to obstacles on the road.
