First Tesla Cybertruck Imported To India Spotted On The Road: Videos & Images Surface Online

Last week, we came across images of a Tesla Cybertruck imported from Dubai being transported on a flatbed. The car was actually imported by a customer from Gujarat. After the images surfaced online, we now have a bunch of videos and images that show the car being driven on the streets of Surat at night. There are also clear pictures of the Cybertruck available online.
The video has been shared by various social media users online. In this video, we see the Cybertruck being driven through the streets of Surat, Gujarat at night. The video does not show the electric pickup clearly as it is recorded at night.
In the images shared by Surat Supercars Club, we get a better look at the truck. While we have seen several local workshops build replicas of the Cybertruck in the past, this is the first time an actual Cybertruck is coming to Indian soil.
As mentioned above, the Cybertruck in India has Dubai registration, which means the owner got it to India via Carnet. He’ll probably use the car here for 6 months to a year and then take it back. Tesla Cybertruck is an expensive model from the American electric car brand, and we don’t think they currently have plans to launch it in India.
Tesla claims that the Cybertruck is their best product, and it has been getting a lot of attention online and on the road for its unique look and styling. Just like any American truck, the Cybertruck is huge, measuring around 5.87 metres in length. It is made from a Tesla-designed stainless steel alloy, and the exterior panels of the Cybertruck are claimed to be bulletproof against 9mm bullets.
However, in the images, it looks like the ground clearance of the truck is too low for an SUV or truck. The Cybertruck comes with a 122.4 kWh battery pack. This battery powers the electric motors that generate 600 PS. The Cybertruck is available with single, dual, and triple motor setups. The dual and triple motor setups offer AWD, while the single motor version is an RWD SUV. The triple motor variant generates a maximum of 834 PS.
We are not sure which variant is seen in the images. The dual-motor variant can do 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while the triple motor variant can do the same in just 2.6 seconds.
The Tesla Cybertruck is actually being marketed as a heavy-duty pickup truck in many markets. The truck can deliver over 400 km of range on a single charge under real-world driving conditions.
Tesla is considering affordable models for India, and they have already started working on their dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi. Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are likely to be launched in the market, and the same have been spotted testing on several occasions. While both these models are considered affordable internationally, they’ll easily cost you anywhere between Rs 30 lakh to Rs 50 lakh in India, thanks to government policies and import duties.
