MG Windsor Pro Owner Shares Why He Bought It After Owning Comet And 2 Tata Nexon EVs [Video]

MG Motor India recently launched the Windsor Pro in India on May 6. This new model sits above the standard Windsor EV as it offers a bigger 53 kWh battery pack. Now, after a month of its launch, a number of people have taken delivery of the Windsor Pro. Of these early Windsor Pro owners, a few have also shared their ownership experience as well. Here is what one such Windsor Pro owner had to say about his new car.
The MG Windsor Pro ownership review by the owner has been shared on YouTube by EVolution-Nick on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger giving an introduction of the owner of this particular MG Windsor Pro. Following this, he then starts asking him a number of questions to assess the ownership experience of this brand-new electric vehicle.
During the interview, the vlogger asked the owner about his decision to buy the MG Windsor Pro. To this, the owner replied that he did not directly buy the Windsor Pro. He added that he first bought a used MG Comet EV hatchback, after which he used it for 10 days to understand if electric vehicles are a right fit for him. Following this, he sold the Comet as it felt very small.
The owner, however, added that apart from space, he noted that his driving needs were getting fulfilled with an electric vehicle. As a result, he then once again bought another used electric vehicle, but this time he chose a Tata Nexon EV 35 kWh battery pack variant. He then added that he used it for a few days before getting handed over the new Nexon EV with the 40 kWh battery pack option.
As for the ownership of this second Nexon EV, he highlighted that he used it for over a month, as it was lent to him by one of his friends. The owner then mentioned that after returning the Nexon EV, he booked an MG Windsor with the 38 kWh battery pack. However, by that time, he realised that he needed a real-world range of 300–350 km, and he also heard that the bigger battery pack Windsor was coming.
So, at that moment, he cancelled the reservation of his standard Windsor EV and waited for the launch of the Windsor Pro. Finally, when the company opened the bookings for the Windsor Pro, he immediately went and reserved one for himself. The owner mentioned that he was among the first 8,000 buyers who received the vehicle with the introductory pricing.
After this, he added that within the first week of reservation, he received his car. When asked about the pricing and the delivery experience, the owner replied that after exchanging his Honda City, which he had used for over 15 years, he received a decent value during the exchange. As for the price paid for the Windsor Pro, he stated that around Rs 18.3 lakh was paid by him. He also mentioned that the delivery experience was very smooth and he was not forced to buy any accessories by the dealership.
When asked about what he loves about the Windsor Pro, the owner replied that he loves the fit and finish and quality of the cabin of the Windsor Pro compared to that of the Nexon EV. He also added that it has much more space than the Nexon EV. However, the ride quality of the Nexon EV was more comfortable, added the owner. He also highlighted that the Windsor Pro’s screen feels a bit slow.
