This Old Man From Goa Has A Very Unusual Ride: A Porsche 911 Carrera

The population of supercars and sports cars in India has gone up in the last couple of decades. We now have people buying and importing exotic cars to be driven on Indian roads. Most people who buy these supercars are young. We rarely see any older person in India getting in and out of a sports car, as they are extremely difficult to enter and exit. Just like in any case, there are exceptions here too.

Here, we have a video from Goa, where an elderly gentleman is seen revving and getting out of his Porsche 911 Carrera sports car. The video has been shared by Reenaz Abdul on his Instagram page with the caption:"Age is just a number when it comes to cars ??? Huge respect to this man!?" This is an apt caption, and we can't actually think of anything better.

In the video, we see a white Porsche 911 sports car parked in a covered garage, with the driver revving the car hard. After revving the car for some time, the owner then gets out of the car, and that's when we see him for the first time. The driver, or the owner of the car, is an elderly gentleman who is seen exiting the sports car without anyone’s help. As he gets out, we see him talking to someone who was holding the door.

Who is this old man?

For those wondering who this young-at-heart Porsche owner is—his name is Noshire Dara Moody, and he lives in Goa. He appears to be a car enthusiast and owns several other expensive and exotic cars. According to netizens, he owns the Porsche 911 from the video, a Lamborghini, and a few other supercars and luxury cars.

Apart from these cars, he also bought a used Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan last year. A video of him taking delivery of his luxury saloon is available online. During the delivery of his Rolls-Royce Ghost Series 1, Noshire Dara Moody mentioned that this is his eighth Rolls-Royce.

Porsche 911 Carrera S

Coming to the car seen in the video—after looking at the massive rear spoiler and more aggressive bumper, many people might assume it’s a 991.1 911 GT3. However, in reality, this is a 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S. This generation was dubbed the 997 generation.

The Carrera S from this generation was once available for sale in the Indian market, priced between ₹1.14 crore (ex-showroom) and ₹1.33 crore. The car was powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six engine, generating around 400 PS and 440 Nm of peak torque. The engine was mated to either a 7-speed manual gearbox or Porsche’s iconic 7-speed PDK automatic transmission.
