1 Week-Old BMW's Roof Destroyed After 'Building Plaster' Falls On It At High-End Greater Noida Apartment [Video]

Imagine you bought your dream German luxury car after working hard for it, and in the first week of your ownership, it gets destroyed due to negligence by your housing society. You'd be extremely furious, right? Well, anyone would be, and unfortunately, this is what recently happened with a BMW 3-Series owner from Greater Noida. A video has gone viral on the internet, in which it can be seen that this newly bought BMW's roof was destroyed as the plaster from the building fell on it.

This video showing the unfortunate incident that happened with this BMW 3-Series has been shared on YouTube by Khabri Media Digital on their channel. In this short video, we can see the aftermath of the incident, in which the panoramic sunroof of this particular BMW sedan was completely destroyed. We can note that a big chunk of plaster was missing from the side of the building.

Details of this incident

As per the reports, this particular incident took place at the Eros Sampoornam Society in Greater Noida. What happened was that the owner had bought this BMW 3-Series sedan, worth Rs 72 lakh, just a week before. And just a day before this unfortunate incident, the registration of this vehicle was finished, and its number plate was issued by the RTO department.

The owner of this particular BMW resides in a flat on the ground floor of this society. It has been reported that he has filed a complaint with the local police. He stated that luckily, there were no people around when this incident took place, or else there could have been a loss of life, as the heavy plaster fell off from the fifth floor of the building.

In addition to the owner, more people from the society have complained about the poor quality of their society. Vice President of the Society’s Apartment Owner Association (AOA), Navneet Juneja, also arrived at the spot of the incident and informed the police authorities. It has been mentioned that the police authorities have spoken to the builder of the society.

They have asked him to compensate the owner of the BMW for the entire cost of repairing the damage. Additionally, an investigation on this matter is still going on, and more actions will be taken based on the findings. When asked about the incident, President of AOA, Dipankar Kumar, stated that the society is in a very poor state, and it is due to the negligence of the builder.

Kumar highlighted that the society is in urgent need of repairs in multiple areas, including walls, basement, and other facades. He also added that even the lift of the building is not working and needs to be repaired. Presently, there is also a complaint under review regarding the takeover and handover process of the society. It is being reviewed by Greater Noida Authority ACEO Saumya Srivastava.

Unnecessary hassle for the owner

Even though the owner will be paid either by the owner of the society or by the insurance company, this incident has created an additional hassle for him. Most likely, the car will be sent to the BMW dealership, and it will take a few weeks to get the panoramic sunroof replaced and get the complete roof repaired.
