The population of supercars in India has gone up in the last decade. Almost every rich businessman, celebrity or even an entrepreneur in India looks at such exotic cars as a way to stand out from the rest. While we have many supercars, whether we have the infrastructure for them is a question that many people still ask. We have seen many videos of supercars catching fire, losing control and crashing into other vehicles or people. Here we have one such video from Kolkata where a Ferrari crashed after losing control and injured other road users, while the occupants in the car escaped unhurt.

The video and images of the Ferrari crash have been circulating online for quite some time now. As per reports, the Ferrari supercar crash happened near the Race Course area in Kolkata. According to the reports, the Ferrari was speeding and had a father-and-son duo in it.

The father was in the co-driver seat while his son was driving. The car was speeding and it looks like the son lost control of the vehicle. The supercar crashed into a roadside lamp post, leaving multiple people injured. The accident happened at around 7:30 AM and in this crash the car suffered serious damage.

In the images and videos circulating on the internet, we can see that the Ferrari has suffered serious damage on the side and rear. The door and side body panels on the supercar are completely missing. It looks like the frame of the car has also suffered serious damage.

Coming to the video, the car appears to be the Ferrari 296 GTB. This sports car’s rear is also damaged, and we see the rear engine cover open and the bumper missing. The reports mention that in this crash, two sweepers who were on the road were also injured. The airbags in the Ferrari deployed on time and that is probably what saved the occupants. All injured people were rushed to SSKM Hospital.

The matter is currently under investigation and the authorities are checking whether any traffic rules were violated or if it was simply overspeeding that caused the crash. Indian roads—especially in a city like Kolkata where pedestrian activity is high—are extremely dangerous for driving at high speeds.

In India, there is always a possibility that someone might suddenly come in front of your vehicle. It is because of this that we always advise our readers or drivers to follow defensive driving techniques. Always expect that someone or something might come into your path. This way your brain stays alert and can apply brakes or slow down quickly.

Indian road infrastructure is improving, but that alone is not enough to make it suitable for expensive cars like the Ferrari involved in this incident. People in India often lack discipline and patience. Always stay alert on the road and drive responsibly to avoid such mistakes or accidents, as you are not only putting your own life at risk but also the lives of many innocent road users.
