Tata Motors recently launched their flagship electric SUV, the Harrier.ev, in the market. We drove the SUV both on and off the road, and a review of the same is available on our YouTube channel. The SUVs have already started reaching dealerships, and deliveries have also begun. Here, we have a video of a Harrier.ev owner who shares his experience with the SUV. In fact, he already owns a Harrier diesel.

The video has been shared by Sumit Chandila on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks to the owner of the Harrier.ev from Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida. He was, in fact, one of the first customers from the region to take delivery of the Harrier.ev.

He has bought the top-end Empowered variant of the electric SUV with AWD, or QWD as Tata likes to call it. In the QWD variants, the SUV gets two motors that power the front and rear wheels.

The owner mentions at the beginning of the video that the main reason why he had not bought an EV until now was simply because it was not offering him the range that he wanted. He had planned that the day an electric vehicle with a 500 km range came to the market, he would switch.

He looked at the Mahindra BE.6 and XUV 9e, and he also checked out the BYDs. However, he was not happy with them at all. With Mahindra’s models, he felt the exterior design was too loud and did not match his personality. The BYD is a Chinese brand, and that is the only reason why the owner didn’t go for it.

This is when he came to know about the Harrier.ev. He did a bit of research and realised that the SUV was actually offering him a decent driving range and would fall under his budget too. Moreover, he already had a Harrier diesel at home and was familiar with the vehicle.

He booked the SUV and got it delivered as soon as it reached the dealership. He mentions that the exterior design of the SUV suits him and is not very different from the regular version. Apart from that, the SUV also comes with several premium features that are not available in the regular Harrier.

He decided to go for the AWD version because he often travels to the hills in his vehicle, and he thought it is always a good idea to have this feature rather than feel sorry later. The Harrier.ev can do a fair bit of off-roading, as has been proven in the past.

Coming to the owner’s experience, he has driven the car for almost 900 km and mentions that he has only charged the vehicle once after getting it delivered. He says that his EV can give around 1,100 km of range when driven in Eco mode. He is calculating this using the range left on the MID, which is not the right way to do it.

The car will offer anywhere around 400–450 km in real-world conditions, and we have already seen a couple of videos that show the same. He is happy with the EV and mentions that it is extremely smooth and silent, and he also likes the infotainment system and audio quality of the vehicle.

He aims to drive the EV for at least 5 lakh km in the next 15 years to make it worth the money he has paid. As the owner is still getting used to the vehicle, he has not shared any negatives about the SUV in this video.
