Mahindra, as promised, has started delivering its all-new electric SUVs, the BE6 and XEV 9E. Several videos of customers taking delivery of the new Mahindra EVs have surfaced online. In the last week, we’ve seen people take deliveries of their much-awaited EVs. Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman of INSPACE, a part of India's Space Program, was also interested in the Mahindra EVs, and he recently took delivery of his new XEV 9E.

The video has been shared by Mahindra NBS International on their Instagram page. The dealership delivered its first XEV 9E electric SUV to Mr. Goenka. The former managing director of Mahindra and Mahindra was excited about the new electric SUV when the manufacturer launched it. In the video, we hear him say, “Mahindra has taken a big leap in the electric vehicle segment. This is going to revolutionize the industry.”

This is the first electric vehicle ever bought by Mr. Goenka, and he mentions that he, along with his wife, took a test drive of the XEV 9E and was immediately impressed with its features, power, and comfort. Mr. Goenka’s wife can be heard saying that the car is feature-loaded and feels like a value-for-money product.

The video then shows Pawan Goenka, along with his wife, performing the pooja rituals before taking delivery of their new vehicle. They have opted for the Desert Myst shade, which looks premium.

Mahindra XEV 9E

The Mahindra XEV 9E seen in the video is the top-end variant, as Mahindra had announced that they would start with the top-end variant first. The XEV 9E features a muscular yet premium-looking design at the front. In fact, Mahindra has managed to carry forward most of the design elements first seen in the concept. It looks futuristic and powerful at the same time. It is an all-new SUV developed from scratch.

It is based on Mahindra’s all-new platform, specifically developed for EVs. The front fascia features drop-down LED DRLs with a connecting LED bar.

Like most modern Mahindra vehicles, the XEV 9E is also a feature-loaded SUV. It gets premium features like three large 12.30-inch screens on the dashboard, which Mahindra calls the “Cinemascope Cockpit.” Additionally, Mahindra provides two screens for rear-seat passengers to ensure they don’t miss out on entertainment.

Other features include VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage.

The SUV also comes with seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and more. Other notable features include leatherette upholstery with seat ventilation, electrically adjustable seats, an infinity glass roof with dynamic lights, and multi-zone climate control.

The electric SUV is available with two battery pack options. The lower versions get a 59 kWh battery pack, while the higher versions get a 79 kWh battery. The smaller battery version generates 228 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, offering a claimed range of 542 km. The bigger 79 kWh variant generates 282 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, with a claimed range of 656 km.

The price for a brand-new Mahindra XEV 9E starts at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
