Tata Harrier.EV Owner Explains Why He Bought It Over Mahindra XEV 9E [Video]

The Tata Harrier.ev is currently the latest and most hyped electric vehicle in the market, and people were waiting for its deliveries to commence. Finally, the company has now started delivering this SUV to its awaiting buyers, and recently a video of the initial impressions of a Harrier.ev buyer has been shared online. He provides all the insights of his Harrier.ev purchase and mentions the reasons why he picked it over the Mahindra XEV 9E.
This detailed video review of the Tata Harrier.ev has been shared on YouTube by Anubhav Chauhan on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the owner of this particular Tata Harrier.ev. He starts by asking him about the decision to buy the Harrier.ev and when he bought it. To this, the owner replies that he wanted to buy a new car but did not want an ICE vehicle.
He explained that if he had bought a Rs 30 lakh ICE vehicle, he would have to pay Rs 15,000–20,000 on fuel costs on top of the EMIs of the vehicle. However, with the Harrier.ev, he is saving on the fuel cost. Following this, the vlogger asks him about the pricing and delivery of the vehicle.
So the owner mentioned that he paid Rs 30 lakh for the Harrier.ev. He highlighted that the diesel Harrier was also priced at Rs 30 lakh. As for the waiting period on the delivery of his SUV, the owner mentions that he bought it from his friend who owns a Tata Motors dealership. The owner also stated that although he is not sure if his Harrier.ev is the first in Rajasthan, he added that it is definitely the first in Jaipur.
During the interview, the vlogger asked the owner why he did not opt for the QWD or all-wheel-drive variant of the Harrier.ev. To this, he mentions that he does not indulge in off-roading a lot, so paying the premium of Rs 1.5 lakh was not worth it to him.
As for the decision to buy the Harrier.ev over the Mahindra XEV 9E, he elaborated that, according to him, the XEV 9E is not very practical and very gimmicky with the triple screen layout. According to him, the Harrier.ev feels much more rugged, practical, and offers more features for less price. He added that the comparable variants have a difference of around Rs 3–3.5 lakh.
The owner in the video also talked about the things he loves about the Harrier.ev. He started off by stating that the SUV gets a Samsung QLED screen and JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos, which work flawlessly. Also, it gets electrically adjustable seats, transparent mode camera, in-built DVR, and an openable panoramic sunroof.
He also highlighted that he has opted for the optional 7.2 kW fast charger, which costs Rs 70,000 and can fully charge the car in 10 hours from zero or 5 hours from 50%. The owner also stated that the 500-liter boot space is plenty for his use case.
Before concluding the video, the vlogger asked the Tata Harrier.ev owner about the real-world range of this SUV. To this, he mentions that the company claims a range of 650 km. However, in real life, it is around 480 km on a single full charge with heavy driving. He added that it could go up to 500 km with less spirited driving. The owner concluded by stating that he is 100% satisfied with his Tata Harrier.ev.
