India's First Modified Vinfast VF7 Electric SUV Is Here

The Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast recently entered the Indian automotive market with its electric SUVs, the VF6 and the VF7. Recently, the company has commenced the deliveries of these models, and now a video showing the modification work being done on one of the first VinFast VF7 SUVs has been shared online. This particular car was seen getting floor lamination done to protect it in all weather conditions.
This video showing the modification on the VinFast VF7 electric SUV has been shared on Instagram by Car.affair on their page. It starts off with the person doing the voiceover introducing the VinFast VF7. He states that this particular SUV has been launched by the Vietnamese carmaker to disrupt the Indian market.
Following this, he adds that the company is offering 10 years of warranty, 3 years of free maintenance, and 2 years of free charging. He then mentions that this particular vehicle has come to their shop for full interior lamination. It can be noted that the front seats of this SUV were removed to properly add laminated flooring to the vehicle.
A number of new car owners are now opting for synthetic leather lamination. It is a leather-like waterproof material that is spread over the company-fitted carpet of any vehicle. It ensures that water does not damage the original carpet. It also makes cleaning the interior of a car very easy, and it gives the vehicle's interior a very premium appearance.
Although a major announcement was not made publicly, the Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast has commenced the deliveries of the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India. These SUVs were launched by the company on October 14. The VF6 starts at Rs 16.49 lakh, while the VF7 starts at Rs 20.89 lakh. These SUVs have been priced very competitively to gain market share and customer trust in India.
The VinFast VF7 is the bigger and more premium electric SUV from the brand. It comes equipped with V-shaped LED DRLs and LED projector headlights set on a unique and premium-looking front fascia. On the sides, it gets 19-inch alloys, and the same V-shaped, almost-connected light design is seen at the rear as well.
On the inside, the VF7 comes loaded with features. It includes vegan leather upholstery, a large fixed glass roof, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, and ventilated front seats to create a premium experience. It also gets a driver-oriented centre console, a head-up display (HUD), and a Level 2 advanced driver assistance system suite.
Powertrain options of the VinFast VF7 include both two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants in India. The lower Earth variant is offered with a 175 bhp and 250 Nm torque-generating motor and a 52.6 kWh battery, both shared with the VF6. Then there is the Wind trim, which gets a 201 bhp and 310 Nm electric motor, a larger 70.8 kWh battery, and acceleration rated at 9.5 seconds for the 0–100 kmph sprint.
Lastly, the Sky variant is the AWD version, and it comes with two motors, one on each axle. The combined output of this drivetrain is an impressive 350 bhp and 500 Nm. The VF7 Sky trim can do the 0–100 kmph sprint in just 5.8 seconds. The battery on the Sky trims remains the 70.8 kWh unit. The range on the bigger battery pack AWD version is 510 km, and on the lower variant, it is 532 km. Meanwhile, the smaller battery pack offers a range of 438 km.
