The American automotive giant Ford is coming back to India. Unfortunately, its latest model, the Everest SUV, which is the next-generation Endeavour, will be coming out a bit late. Now, in India, a few automotive workshops have already started retrofitting old Endeavours with aftermarket Everest kits. Recently, a video of one such conversion has been shared online. This particular Endeavour was white and was then repainted in a stunning black shade from Lexus.

This video showing the conversion process of the Ford Endeavour into Everest has been shared on YouTube by Brotomotiv on their page. In this video, the owner of Brotomotiv mentions that this particular customer brought his third-generation Endeavour and wanted to get it fitted with an aftermarket Everest kit.

He then highlights that they had already discussed this project with the owner beforehand and imported this Everest conversion kit, following which the kit arrived at the workshop, where it was unboxed and kept in front of the SUV. In the video, the host mentions that they first had to disassemble the complete front end of this SUV.

This included the removal of the bonnet, headlights, front grille, bumper, and also the fenders. Additionally, the rear bumper was also removed. Following this, all the body panels from the new Everest kit were test-fitted on the SUV to check for fitment. The owner of the shop highlighted that the parts are made of high-strength metal and high-quality ABS plastic.

He also mentions that the aftermarket LED headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs are of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) quality. Apart from this, the presenter also highlights that this kit does not require any custom fabrication. It comes with all the brackets that are needed to perfectly fit and align the parts.

Following the test fitting of the kit, the vehicle was sent for dent removal and preparation for paint. During this, all the body panels were checked for dents and then removed. One of the doors was completely stripped down to the bare metal and was then reshaped with proper glazing putty and sanding.

After this, the vehicle was given a dark grey primer before the final paint job. The presenter mentions that the owner wanted to get this SUV’s color changed from white to Lexus’ Graphite Black Glass Flake color. He added that this color boasts a lot of metal flakes and gives it a unique shine under sunlight.

Finally, the vehicle was sent for the paint correction process, where it was wet sanded and then given a thorough polish. The owner of this SUV also opted for paint protection film, which was then installed on the car.

Finally, the car was finished with a set of aftermarket alloy wheels. The owner of the shop also shared the price list of all the work done on this SUV. The cost of the Everest aftermarket kit was Rs 1.86 lakh, the paint job was Rs 1.55 lakh, and the paint protection film was Rs 1.10 lakh. These costs and other expenses totaled up to Rs 5.34 lakh.
