Foreigners Stop Riders From Riding On Foot And Cycle Path [Video]

The civic sense of driving in India is extremely poor, and as harsh as it may be, we all are aware of it. Every day we see people driving on wrong lanes, at high speeds, and doing all types of reckless acts. Now, generally, foreign nationals who come to stay in India get used to this lack of civic sense (which is good and bad at the same time). However, recently, a video has gone viral in which two foreigners were seen trying to stop two-wheeler riders from riding in a bicycle lane.
This video showing two foreigners trying to stop idiot two-wheeler riders from riding in a bicycle lane has been shared on X by The Pune Mirror on their page. It has been mentioned in the post that this particular incident took place in Pimpri-Chinchwad, near Pune in Maharashtra. We can note that there were two elderly foreign nationals who were standing on a bicycle lane in front of a number of two-wheeler riders.

Most likely, these riders were on the bicycle lane to avoid going into the main road where there was some traffic. However, as the foreigners who stay in India are not used to such uncivilized driving patterns, these two foreigners tried stopping these riders from using the bicycle lane. We can note that while these men were stopping the riders, one of them rode past them.
Soon after, the foreigner who was standing in the middle put his hand out to catch the biker. However, as he was late, he quickly came back and started stopping others from doing the same. It can be noted that these men were asking the riders to merge back into the main road. Following which, it can be seen that despite these efforts, another Honda Activa scooter continued riding on the bicycle lane.

As mentioned, we all are aware that the civic sense of driving in India is very low. However, this video should make us feel shameful. We are saying this because the people in the video who were trying to teach us some sense are not even from our country, and despite this, they have still gone out of their way and tried to stop this nonsense.
People in India only look for shortcuts, and this is a very poor way of living. Most car drivers and two-wheeler riders in India will cause other road users extreme inconvenience just to save their time and be comfortable. We urge each and every person reading that although we cannot correct each and everyone on the road like these foreign nationals, the least that we can do is follow the traffic rules to make sure that we are never on the wrong side (literally as well as morally).
Just a little while ago, another video went viral on the internet. In this clip, a foreign national named Tim Fischer stated that he was stopped by a traffic police officer for taking a left turn where it was not allowed. As a result, he was initially asked to pay a fine of Rs 5,000, which he agreed to pay. However, the police officer took him ahead and asked him to pay Rs 500 in cash instead.
Following this, he refused to pay this cash bribe and was then requested by the officer to pay Rs 200, then Rs 100, and lastly Rs 50. However, he stayed adamant and said that he was ready to face all the consequences but would not be paying any money in cash. As a result, finally, the police officer let him go without any bribe or fine.
