P.R. Sundar and his story of rags to riches

As mentioned, the man we are talking about is P.R. Sundar. He recently bought himself a brand-new Rolls Royce Phantom VIII in Dubai and brought it to India via carnet. During an interview, Sundar revealed that he used to be a teacher in a school. Following this, he mentioned that when growing up, they did not have a car.

So, in order to honor his late father, he bought himself the Rolls Royce Phantom VIII luxury sedan. For those who may be wondering how a school teacher can buy a Rolls Royce, the answer is that P.R. Sundar shifted from India to Dubai after making a transition from a school teacher to a stock market expert.

He currently trades futures, options, and other commodities in the Indian stock market and now resides in Dubai. The stock market expert then revealed that he brought this sedan to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, via carnet. He explained that he paid Rs 7–8 lakh, including all the fees, and can drive the vehicle in India for six months. Sundar also highlighted that the main reason he imported the car to India was because of his son's wedding.

He added that he lives in the same building as the super-popular Tamil actor Vijay. He mentioned that he has seen Vijay's Rolls Royce Ghost in the underground parking lot of his building multiple times. During the interview, he also highlighted that he had given his house help’s kids a joyride in his Rolls Royce Phantom VIII, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Rolls Royce Phantom VIII

The Phantom VIII is the top-of-the-line vehicle sold by the British luxury carmaker Rolls Royce across the globe. In India, it starts at Rs 10 crore and can reach upwards of Rs 22 crore, depending upon the options chosen by the owner. Currently, the most expensive Rolls Royce Phantom VIII in India is owned by Yohan Poonawalla.

He bought his Phantom VIII EWB for Rs 22 crore. It is finished in the lovely shade of Bohemian Red. His sedan also gets a solid gold Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and 22-inch brushed silver dish plate alloy wheels. Another unique detail of Yohan’s new Rolls Royce Phantom VIII EWB is that he has opted for a custom-painted “P,” representing Poonawalla, on the rear quarter panels.

Other options chosen by him include an illuminated grille, starlight headlights, and a ton of others. The Rolls Royce Phantom VIII EWB comes powered by a massive 6.75-liter V12 twin-turbocharged petrol engine. This engine delivers an impressive 571 bhp and 900 Nm of torque.
