A lot of rich people in India today take private jet charters to go from one place to another. However, there are some ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) who, instead of renting, own not one but multiple private jets. Of these individuals, one is the billionaire Gautam Adani. Recently, he took delivery of his 10th and biggest private jet yet, the Boeing 737 Max 8 Business Jet, worth a whopping Rs 1000 crore. The jet was delivered to him on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Billionaire Gautam Adani’s Rs 1000 Crore Boeing BBJ

To ensure that he travels from one continent to another without stopping anywhere for fuel, billionaire Gautam Adani has bought himself a brand-new Boeing 737 Max 8 Business Jet. This particular jet is part of Boeing’s exclusive BBJ (Boeing Business Jet) Max Series and costs Rs 1000 crore. What is even more interesting is that Adani has reportedly spent an additional Rs 35 crore to make the interior of his jet bespoke.

Adani’s BBJ 737 Max 8 recently flew from Switzerland to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, non-stop covering a distance of 6,300 km. As mentioned, it landed on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and was given a ceremonial welcome with a traditional water cannon salute at the Ahmedabad airport.

The Boeing BBJ 737 Max 8 is also known as a “palace in the sky” due to its 1,025 square feet of cabin space, which is insane for any private jet. This particular jet can be custom-configured in any way the owner likes. Reportedly, Adani's jet is equipped with a private bedroom with a king-sized bed, luxury bathroom, lounge, and a conference room where he can attend his meetings.

Additionally, to ensure the billionaire can stay connected during his travel, the BBJ 737 Max 8 comes equipped with connectivity to high-speed internet service for uninterrupted communication. It also gets smart systems that automate the lighting, temperature, and entertainment.

Powering the Boeing BBJ 737 Max 8 are two CFM LEAP-1B engines. With these engines and the most cutting-edge aviation technology, this jet can travel 11,975 km non-stop. It can also stay airborne for around 14 hours, which is very impressive. As for the total capacity, this jet can carry 19 passengers in utmost luxury.

Adani Owns a Lot More Jets

As mentioned above, the Boeing BBJ 737 Max is the biggest and most expensive jet that Adani owns. However, in addition to it, he also owns 9 other private jets of various sizes. All of these jets and his helicopters are managed by his aviation company named Karnavati Aviation. It looks over the maintenance, operation, and staffing of the fleet.

He also paid Rs 1000 crore for the jet and several crores more for the complete customization of the interior. Like Adani, he also owns multiple jets and helicopters, and he recently also bought a Rs 150 crore Airbus H160 helicopter.
