Tow Truck Breaks Down Due To Hummer EV's MASSIVE Weight [Video]
The GMC Hummer EV is, hands down, one of the craziest modern-day automobiles. It is humongous in size, and despite its dimensions, it still offers mind-boggling performance due to its electric powertrain. However, what happens when a 4-ton SUV gets a flat tire? Well, a tow truck is required to pick it up. But when a tow truck arrived to pick up a Hummer EV, the sheer weight of the SUV caused the tow truck’s front wheels to lift in the air.

This video, showing a Tata 207 tow truck getting lifted into the air after trying to tow a Hummer EV, has been shared on Instagram by Cars and Tools on their page. In this short clip, the GMC Hummer EV was stranded on the side of the road with a damaged front left tyre. As a result, a Tata 207 tow truck was called to tow away the vehicle.
What happens next is that when the Hummer EV was attached to the rear of the tow truck to lift it up so that it could be moved to another location, the 4-ton weight of the Hummer EV caused the front two wheels of the Tata tow truck to be lifted in the air. This is something that does not happen every day, and as a result, the video went viral online.

The GMC Hummer EV, as mentioned, is one of the craziest automobiles of all time. This SUV in India, after all the import duties and other costs, is priced at Rs 3.85 crore. What is even more shocking is that this is the ex-showroom price. Buyers will have to pay additional costs such as registration and insurance, which might cross the Rs 4.5 crore price tag in total to legally drive it in India.
Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh is one of the proud owners of a brand-new GMC Hummer EV. He took delivery of his Hummer EV back in July of this year. The actor has chosen the classy shade of Tide Metallic. This is the first-ever electric car in Ranveer Singh's garage, and he was recently seen driving it along with his wife and popular actress Deepika Padukone.
As for the variant, Ranveer Singh has opted for the top-of-the-line 3X variant, which comes offered with a dual-Ultium motor all-wheel-drive setup, generating a peak power of 830 bhp and a mind-bending 15,592 Nm of torque. The 2X variant, which is the less powerful one, offers 570 bhp and similar torque.
GMC offers this beast of an SUV with a massive 178 kWh battery pack, which provides a claimed range of 505 km. In total, this particular variant weighs in at 4,500 kg, and despite this weight, it manages to do a 0–100 kmph sprint in just 3.5 seconds.
In terms of features, it comes loaded with a massive 12.3-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, GMC Super Cruise, a 13.4-inch infotainment display, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, Super Cruise hands-free driving, trailer-assisted profiles, “Extract Mode” suspension raise, and driver modes customization. It also gets removable roof panels for open-air touring with frunk storage.
