India's Coolest Parking Lot Is In A Bengaluru Temple! [Video]

In most cities, parking is a major issue, and finding people parking on the side of the road or on footpaths is sadly a common sight. With the number of vehicles on the road rising, authorities have started building multi-level car parking facilities to resolve this issue. Here, we have a cool-looking parking lot from Bengaluru, which is actually built near a temple to address the problem.

The video has been shared by Suvik Family Vlogs on their Instagram page. The parking lot seen in the video is ISKCON Bengaluru. In the video, we see a Kia Seltos being driven toward a multi-level parking facility. We have seen several videos of multi-level car parking systems online, but this is probably the first time we have come across such a facility near a temple. The car is simply driven onto a ramp and parked on it.

There is a person managing the facility who guides the driver to park the vehicle properly. Once the vehicle is in the right spot, it is secured, and then the operator lifts the ramp. It is actually an automatic parking system where the car moves up using the lift and stays there.

Every car parked in such multi-level facilities has a code on the ticket, and when the ticket is scanned in a machine, the car ramp comes down automatically. It is, in fact, like a Ferris wheel but for cars.

We have all been in situations where we are forced to leave our car keys with the parking lot attendant because we couldn't find a proper spot or had parked in front of another vehicle.

In such multi-level car parks, this problem is resolved. The cars are vertically stacked above one another, but they do not block the way in any manner. All the ramps rotate clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the command received from the operator. In this video, we see the vlogger park the Kia Seltos on the ramp, and within seconds, the car goes up.

This is actually a very practical solution to the parking issue in most cities. This vertical stacking method of parking is highly efficient as it doesn’t require too much space.

In the video, we can see that there are two multi-level parking setups next to each other, and they both can hold 18–20 vehicles each. If you were to park so many vehicles on a flat ground, you would require a lot of space, which would create inconvenience for others.

These types of parking setups are becoming common in many parts of the country. In cities like Delhi and Mumbai, there are several multi-level parking facilities of this sort. In many places, entire buildings are dedicated to parking vehicles in this manner.

These multi-level parking spots also help in reducing congestion on the roads, as people don’t have to drive slowly while searching for a parking spot. Setting up such a system is definitely expensive, but with the rising number of vehicles on the road and decreasing parking spaces, multi-level parking spots are certainly a great solution.
