People in India come up with some of the craziest ideas when it comes to car modifications. Recently, a Hyundai Creta project car has gone viral online due to its unique modification. Now, you may be wondering what is so unique about this Hyundai Creta, right? Well, the highlight of this Creta is that it has been completely converted into a BMW. Yes, you heard that right!

The video showing the final result of the Hyundai Creta conversion into a BMW has been shared on Instagram by Car Deddy on their page. In this short clip, the Hyundai Creta that has been converted is parked with a red cover on it, following which the cover is removed and the front fascia of this SUV is revealed.

It can be noted that the entire front end has been changed with the help of a custom-developed fiberglass body kit by the shop. The main highlight is the double kidney grille, which has been inspired by the current-generation BMWs. There are golden elements inside the grille. Also, the complete front bumper has been custom-designed.

The lower central part houses the number plate, and there is a honeycomb grille behind it. There are also fake vents on the sides to give it a BMW X5-like appearance. Another major highlight of this particular SUV is the set of headlights. The original Creta headlight internals have been swapped with BMW-like LED DRLs, which glow in a menacing-looking red color.

Moving on to the side profile, this particular BMW-converted Creta has been given a set of massive 10-spoke aftermarket alloy wheels finished in a matte gold shade. Apart from these, the SUV also gets wider front and rear fender flares to add bulk to the overall body. Side skirts have also been added to keep the wide-body flow intact.

Like the front, the entire rear portion of this Creta has also been redesigned. It gets a set of brand-new LED taillights, which look inspired by the previous-generation Audi A6 sedan. The SUV also gets a fully custom-designed rear bumper with a massive diffuser. There are also louvers on the rear bumper on either side.

Are such modifications legal?

The simple answer to this question is no. Modifications that alter the appearance of a vehicle and change its structural components are illegal in India. Generally, people who build such custom cars are aware of the fact that if their vehicle gets checked by the authorities, it might get seized. However, they still execute them, as rules in most Indian states are not very stringent when it comes to car modifications.

What's the point of such a conversion?

Buying a brand-new BMW is a luxury, and not everyone can afford it. However, people with knowledge and resources sometimes spend them on such conversions. These types of conversions are often used for marketing, as they showcase the capability of a shop to create custom kits. A lot of people then request similar custom projects as well. Over the years, we have seen numerous such conversions.
