Scammers Fake Road Rage To Steal iPhone 16 From Car [Video]

The number of scams and thefts that take place every day in India is uncountable. However, every now and then, a video goes viral online, reminding us that some of these can be avoided by being a little more vigilant and aware. Recently, a video was shared online in which a Hyundai i20 N-Line owner was accused of rash driving at a traffic signal just to have his iPhone 16 Pro smartphone stolen. The entire incident was captured on a dashcam.
This video showing the Hyundai i20 N-Line owner’s iPhone 16 Pro being stolen at a traffic signal has been shared on Youtube by Crime Tak. As per the video, this particular incident took place on the Santacruz–Chembur Link Road. The owner of the car mentioned that it happened after he got off the overbridge and was crossing the small patch in Kurla.
The entire incident was recorded on his car's dashcam. It can be seen that the driver, named Saransh, was driving his Hyundai i20 N-Line slowly at a traffic signal. In just the next moment, a man wearing a sky-blue t-shirt started vigorously hitting his front left window. Due to this, he opened the window halfway and started talking to him.
We can hear that the man standing outside started accusing the driver of rash driving and asked him to look where he was going. As a result, the driver started getting into a heated argument. However, at this exact moment, another person came to the driver's side window and started shouting at Saransh to move his vehicle ahead as it was causing a traffic jam.
Following this, what we can see in the dashcam footage is that the person on the left immediately put his hands inside the car on the front passenger seat. The driver's iPhone 16 Pro and his laptop bag were on this seat, and the video shows the man in the sky-blue t-shirt taking the phone and running away. Just after this happened, the other guy on the driver's side also left the spot.
This particular video, which has been shared, also shows exactly how this incident took place. It can be seen in the rear dashcam footage that the person wearing the grey t-shirt, who hit the driver’s side window, had earlier spotted the phone on the front passenger seat. He first checked this car and then moved ahead, and after a while came back to it.
During this time, his friend in the sky-blue t-shirt came and first accused the driver of rash driving. Finally, the grey t-shirt guy distracted the driver, and in the meantime, the other man stole the phone and left. In his video requesting people to help, Saransh revealed that his iPhone 16 Pro was given to him by his father and his brother, and he wants it back. If anyone can find it, it would be of great help.
This particular case teaches us that there are numerous types of scams and thefts that take place every day. So, while driving any type of vehicle, we have to be extremely vigilant of our surroundings. Most likely, the owner, Saransh, has filed a case, and the dashcam footage showcases the faces of the thieves. Hopefully, they get caught quickly, and he gets his phone back.
