Underage driving is a major issue not just in India but in many parts of the world. We have seen several videos on the internet where kids were seen driving cars and bikes on public roads without the supervision of an adult. It is extremely dangerous and illegal, and even then, many continue to do it. Here we have a video that shows why kids should not drive a car on public roads.

The video has been circulating on various social media platforms. It looks like the incident happened somewhere in Haryana. The whole incident was captured on CCTV installed on the street.

On the street, we see a bunch of kids playing with their friends. There are vehicles parked on the street, and we also see a Hyundai Venue at one end of the street. Suddenly, we see the Hyundai Venue moving, and within seconds, it crashes into the wall next to a residence.

After this, the car narrowly missed a biker passing through the street. In fact, the biker jumped out of the way to save himself.

Just after passing the biker, the Hyundai Venue crashed into a bike, and it almost hit a kid on the street. The kid was lucky that he ran inside his home before the bike or car could hit him. The car continued moving forward, and by this time, the other kids who were playing on the street realized that something was wrong and ran away immediately.

The car crashed into a couple more bikes before coming to a stop towards the end of the street. It crashed into a Hero Splendor motorcycle parked outside a house and finally stopped. If the car had not stopped, it would have easily crashed into the wall, as the street was ending.

After the crash, we see people running towards the car. The co-driver side door of the Hyundai Venue opens, and we see a kid walking out of it. It looks like he hurt his leg somewhere inside the car during the accident.

The driver's side door also opens, and we see a teenager walking out of the car. While the kid inside the car walked towards his mother, the driver stood next to the car. The locals had gathered around the vehicle as they were all in shock because they were not sure what had just happened.

The teenager in the driver's seat doesn’t look like an adult or 18. We are assuming that he was trying to show off to the kid when he accidentally drove the car. It is quite possible that this was the automatic variant, which made things look extremely easy for the teenager.

He must have felt confident that he could drive a car and only realized the mistake after the vehicle started moving.

This happens to many, and in some cases, these young drivers - or rather, underage drivers - have caused major accidents. Remember the Pune Porsche Taycan case? If the kids playing on the street had not moved away in time, the Hyundai Venue would have easily crushed them.

In India, you are legally allowed to apply for a driving license at the age of 18. If you are found riding or driving a vehicle before that, it is considered illegal, and cops can actually seize your vehicle and take action against the parents or the actual owner of the vehicle.

Driving is a responsible act, and young kids often tend not to understand the seriousness of the situation, making poor judgments on the road. By allowing kids to drive on public roads, you are not only putting their lives at risk but also the lives of other road users.
