The video has been shared by Nabila Jamil on her X profile. Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose and his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita, were on their way to the airport when the incident happened. The Indian Air Force officer, in his video, claimed that the biker-who has been identified as Vikas Kumar, a call center employee-was riding recklessly. When Madhumita questioned him about his riding behavior, the rider started arguing.

The Wing Commander mentions that the rider was speaking in Kannada and was abusing them in his mother tongue. When the officer got out of the vehicle, the biker allegedly hit him with a key. This is what the Wing Commander shared as his version of the story online.

However, when the CCTV footage from the spot where the incident took place emerged, the story looked completely different. We see Vikas standing on the footpath after the argument.

It appears that the officer’s car and Vikas’s bike had a minor crash, as we see the bike lying on the road next to the footpath. The IAF officer gets out of the vehicle, and when he realizes that the biker was contacting someone, he becomes agitated and starts hitting the biker.

The locals who had gathered around tried to separate them, but the officer continued to hit the biker. After brutally hitting the biker, the Wing Commander came up with a video in which he painted himself as the victim.

He mentioned that the biker spoke about DRDO and his wife in a disrespectful manner. There was also a narrative where the officer claimed that the issue escalated because he didn’t speak in Kannada, which made the biker furious. However, the CCTV footage has proved all these claims wrong.

The video from the spot where the incident took place has gone viral, and the cops have also come across it. Bengaluru police have booked Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose in connection with the road rage incident.

He has been booked under Sections 109 (attempt to murder), 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 304 (snatching), 324 (mischief), and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The call center employee, Vikas Kumar, has also been booked under various sections of the BNS, including Section 115(2) (causing hurt) and 116(h) (grievous hurt).

The biker may have been riding recklessly, but that is not a strong enough reason for anyone to physically assault him. If anyone has issues with a biker, the best thing to do is report the incident with the vehicle number or photo to the concerned authorities.

We have seen Bengaluru traffic police take action against such riders in the past, and this one wouldn’t have been any different. It was only after the officer decided to take matters into his own hands that things went south.
