Maruti Swift, Brezza, Mahindra Scorpio Owners Fined Rs 2.09 Lakh For Blocking Road On Independence Day [Video]
Entire India recently celebrated its 79th Independence Day. Like every year, many people hoisted the national flag, went on long drives with their groups and families, and had a good time. However, some people took their celebrations a little too far and blocked public roads, causing major inconvenience to others. Thankfully, these idiots were dealt with quickly and were fined Rs 2.09 lakh for their act. Recently, a video showed a few Mahindra Scorpios, a few Maruti Suzuki Swifts, Brezza, and a Hyundai Verna, along with other vehicles, causing chaos on public roads.
Idiots block highway for Independence Day celebration
This video, showing various cars blocking a national highway on Independence Day, has been shared on X by Kapil Singh on his page. In this short video, we can note that a black Mahindra Scorpio Classic, a white Mahindra Scorpio, and a silver Hyundai Verna sedan were blocking the Noida Bypass flyover. Just in front of these cars, there were a number of people recording videos.
Meanwhile, in the rear, we can note that there were several other cars with massive Indian flags mounted on the bonnets. It can be seen that many other car owners and two-wheeler riders were stopped in the middle of the road because of this chaos. Another video shared shows a white Maruti Suzuki Brezza at the front of this roadblock.
Why did these drivers block the road?
Over the years, it has become a pattern that on Independence Day and Republic Day, many such car owners block public roads for recording reels and clicking pictures to show their “patriotism.” Unfortunately, all these people do is cause inconvenience to other road users. Generally, these idiots get away with doing such stuff. However, this does not happen every time.
Fined Rs 2.09 lakh
This time around, after this video was shared on X, the Noida Police was very quick in taking action. It has been mentioned by the Noida Traffic Police that these cars, which were blocking the Noida Bypass, have been heavily fined.
It stated, “Taking cognizance of the said complaint, action has been taken by issuing e-challans (fines of 64,000, 75,000, 70,000 rupees) as per the rules against the concerned vehicles for violating traffic regulations. Further legal action is being carried out by Sector-24 Police Station.”
Not the first time
The above incident is not the first time that we have seen a public road getting blocked by idiots with cars. Just a few days ago, a video went viral on the internet in which multiple cars, including a Mercedes-Benz SLK convertible sports car, a Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, a Toyota Fortuner Legender, a few Mahindra Thars, Scorpio-Ns, and others, were seen blocking the expressway for the shoot of a reel.
The particular video showed these cars blocking the Upper Dwarka Expressway, near Sobha City, Gurgaon, Haryana. It was noted that three men were standing on a Mercedes-Benz SLK convertible sports car and a cameraman was recording a video for reels. Meanwhile, other cars had several people who were also shooting reels while standing out of their SUVs and hatchbacks.
