Rs 5.6 Crore Mclaren Artura Supercar Gets Home-Delivered (Video)

Hyderabad recently got its latest McLaren Artura in Elite Serpentine Shade. The car was delivered to Satwik Chopdar of Azad Engineering Limited. The car seems to have a tasteful spec and looks stunning in pictures and videos. It seems to have been home-delivered to Satwik by Infinity Cars- the brand’s dealer partner in India.
McLaren Mumbai has shared a set of images showing Satwik and his family taking delivery of the new car, in a private event. The family seems to be quite excited about the new purchase. Satwik’s penchant for expensive and fast cars is evident from his Instagram handle. It has photos of him with a BMW Z4, Beetle, Urus S, Porsche Cayman etc. These seem to be owned by the family.
Satwik’s Artura has an Elite Serpentine exterior colourway, Satin White wheels and Green callipers. The British luxury supercar nmaker started its India operations in August 2022. The first showroom opened in Mumbai later that year. In 2024, McLaren was sold to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Their India portfolio consists of the McLaren Artura, 720S coupe and convertible, 765 LT, and the GT. The Artura has a starting price of 5.6 Cr in Hyderabad.
The Artura is available both as a Spyder and coupe. The young entrepreneur has chosen the coupe. The supercar is in fact, a PHEV, with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo hybrid V6 engine that produces 680 hp and 720 Nm. The engine alone produces 585hp. The electric motor sits at the rear and adds another 95hp and 225Nm. The powertrain comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Artura can do the 0-100 kph sprint in just 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of 330kph. The hybrid’s electric counterpart gets a 7.4kWh battery pack. The manufacturer even claims an electric-only range of 31 kph. The battery-only top-speed is 130kph. Since this is a PHEV, it needs to be plugged in to replenish the battery. The manufacturer claims 0-80 percent rejoicing in just 2.5 hours. The vehicle offers selectable drive modes- E-Mode, Comfort, Sport and Track.
The Artura is based on the McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA) that puts a strong focus on being hybrid-friendly. It gets a carbon-fibre tub with aluminium crash beams. The rear sub frame is made of aluminium. It weight just about 1,498kg.
The Artura measures 4,539mm in length, 2,080mm in width and 1,193mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,640mm and the car has a 66L fuel tank capacity. The front frunk offers a 160L storage capacity.
Talking about the styling, the car looks unmistakably McLaren. The headlamp housing looks like the brand’s logo itself. The mid-engine sportscar comes with air intakes near its doors, 19 inch front wheels and 20 inch units at the rear, sleek stylish tail lamps, exhaust tips mounted above the number plate area, and more exciting cues. The lines and surfaces will surely catch your eye.
The cabin looks sophisticated and is packed with features like a digital instrument cluster, 8.0-inch vertically mounted touchscreen running McLaren Infotainment System II engine, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, USB charging posts and ADAS. In the Indian market, the primary rivals to this supercar are the Ferrari 296 GTB and Maserati MC20.
