Indian Farmer Arrives In GLS To Take Delivery Of Rs 2.5 Crore Mercedes Benz G-Wagen SUV: Video Goes Viral

The picture that we paint in our minds when we hear the word "farmers" is not of someone rich and leading a lavish lifestyle. This is mostly because farmers in India are often exploited by middlemen. However, things are slowly changing, and more young farmers who utilize modern technology have come forward and are also making money from this occupation. Here, we have one such video of an Indian farmer who arrived in a GLS to take delivery of his brand-new G-Wagen.
The video has been shared by Krish Gurjar on his Instagram page. It looks like Krish Gurjar is the son of the farmer. We see the farmer and his family reach the Mercedes-Benz dealership in a Mercedes-Benz GLS luxury SUV. That in itself is a sight to behold, as it is not every day you see a farmer getting out of an SUV worth crores.
The person who got out of the car was wearing proper local Indian attire, which leads us to assume that he might actually be a farmer. We could be wrong, and there is a possibility that he is in some other business. The farmer is greeted by the dealership staff, and they directly proceed with the documentation process. We do see the SUV hidden under a cloth in the dealership,
Once the formalities are complete, the car is unveiled. The farmer has actually bought a brand-new Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen. It is an extremely popular SUV with a lot of fans in India and around the world. The video then shows how happy the family looks after buying their new car, and after this, they drive the car out of the dealership.
The SUV is available in both diesel and petrol engine options. Enthusiasts love the G63 AMG version, while there are also decent takers for the G400d variant. The SUV seen here is the G400d diesel version. Many Indian celebrities own the older G350d version of this SUV. The 400d is actually a replacement for the G350d that was previously available in the market.
The 400d was launched in the market earlier last year. It is powered by a 3.0-litre OM656 in-line six-cylinder diesel engine. This engine generates 330 PS and 700 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It looks like the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen SUV was actually a gift from the farmer's son to his father.
The SUV is available in two variants. There is an Adventure Edition with rugged body elements and an AMG Line. It looks like the farmer here has bought the AMG Line. The Adventure Edition has a more rugged appearance and gives off an off-road-ready vibe.
This is a luxury SUV, and while it may look boxy on the outside, there is no shortage of features inside. The SUV gets a sliding sunroof, a Burmester sound system, 64-color ambient lighting, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and more.
Mukesh Ambani, the richest Indian, owns one of these SUVs in his garage. It was spotted during Anant Ambani’s grand wedding. The car was actually bought for Anant Ambani’s dog, “Happy." Bollywood actress Khushi Kapoor also owns a red-colored G400d SUV. The price for a brand-new Mercedes-Benz G400d SUV is Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom).
