Indian Groom Arrives In A Batmobile For His Wedding: Video Goes Viral

Weddings in India are often grand. We have witnessed several big fat weddings of wealthy Indians not just in India but around the world. In most cases, the entry of the groom is made in an expensive luxury car. Lately, a video has been going viral on the internet where an Indian groom was seen arriving at his wedding in a very unique car - a Batmobile.

The video has been shared by Friendsstudio.in on their Instagram page. In this video, we see a Batmobile from The Dark Knight. This particular model was called The Tumbler in the movie. It looked like an armoured tank with four wheels. We are sure anyone who is a fan of Batman and has watched the movie would recognise the vehicle in this video.

The video seen here is of a grand Indian wedding, but it is not happening in India. In fact, it is happening in Thailand. Many Indians have started approaching event planners for such international destination weddings, and it looks like this is one of them.

In this video, the groom is seen sitting on top of the Batmobile while his friends and family celebrate his arrival. Usually, we see grooms arrive on a horse in traditional weddings. We assume the groom is a big-time Batman fan, which made him choose the Batmobile as his ride instead of a horse.

The excitement is clearly visible on the groom’s face as this was probably something he had been dreaming of for a very long time (the Batmobile, not the wedding). The video was posted online and, since then, it has gone viral. Just like any video on Instagram or other social media platforms, there are users who enjoyed watching it, while others thought the whole thing was unnecessary and that the groom and his family could have made better use of the money.

The comments under this video include, “What on earth is that ???”, “This car is a dream of at least 100 crore boys existing???”, “Sabka focus car par hi hai ? koi dulhe ko bhi dekh lo .” (Everyone is staring at the car, no one is looking at the groom), “Now that’s how you make a baraat entrance! ?”, “Whether original or a remake, this crap would've cost a bomb, used for maybe 30 mins. If only he had invested that amount in his wife's name instead, to profess his love for her.”, “Empty pocket flex… this chaos shouldn’t be allowed on streets…” and so on.

As we are already on the topic of Batman, the closest thing to a Batmobile that we have in India is the Mahindra BE6 electric SUV. Mahindra realised this and officially launched the Batman Edition of the BE6 in the market a couple of weeks ago.

The car is finished in a matte black shade with the Batman insignia on the fenders, windshields, alloy wheels, rear bumper and so on. The interior gets Alchemy gold inserts, giving it a distinct look.

Mahindra launched the BE6 Batman Edition at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), and it was initially decided that they would only produce 300 units of this edition. However, looking at the overwhelming response, Mahindra decided to increase the number to 999 units. All these units sold out within 135 seconds after bookings opened.
