Indian Man Builds ‘Lounge’ For His Ferrari SF90 Stradale [Video]

Owning a Ferrari SF90 Stradale is a dream only a few can achieve, but an Indian SF90 owner has now taken things to a whole new level by designing an exclusive lounge to park and showcase his supercar. Indian businessman Harsh Kotak has built something that can barely be called a garage, and feels more like a luxury lounge to host his SF90 Stradale- the car’s meticulously crafted luxury home….
Kotak has set a benchmark for all supercar enthusiasts by building this lounge. The idea he says, was to be able to get the car in and out of the lounge seamlessly. He wanted the SF90 to be an artefact there. The concept was designed by Ini Design Studio and required precision and innovation for effective execution. The lounge has a motorized vertical window for the car to get in and out. There is generous use of glasshouse to maximise the view and elevate the experience inside.
Harsh Kotak has built this luxury lounge inside his home in Ahmedabad. The concept intends to blur the line between automotive and home decor. His SF90 Stradale is finished in the iconic Red colour (Rosso Corsa) and looks magnificent inside the lounge. The room even has a dedicated area to keep the 9 Crore supercar’s key on display. Many of us might have seen such supercar spaces in Hollywood movies but it is amazing to find one in our country.
Harsh keeps his SF990 Stradale in immaculate condition. He has specced it tastefully. It would shine as the centrepiece in his living room, especially with those spectacular wheels! The SF90 Stradale costs 7.50 Crores before add-ons. With everything that Harsh Kotak has given his supercar, the cost could easily hover over 9 Cr.
The most spectacular aspect of the SF90 Stradale is its powertrain. It is Maranello’s first-ever plug-in hybrid and packs over 1000 hp! The powerhouse here consists of a V8 engine mated to three electric motors. Two of these motors are independent and sit on the front axle. The third motor, however, is situated at the rear, between the engine and the gearbox.
The supercar’s name itself refers to 90 years of Scuderia Ferrari, and its production is capped at 2000 units worldwide. Circling back to the powertrain, the SF90 is more powerful than a LaFerrari! The ‘F154’ twin-turbocharged V8 engine here, has a displacement of 3,990cc and can produce 780hp and 800 Nm.
The turbocharger here sits lower and the flywheel is smaller than say, the Pista. This brings about a lower centre of gravity. The exhaust ditches steel and goes with super-alloy Inconel, resulting in significant weight savings. The electric motors have a combined output of 220 hp. The battery pack, however, isn’t too big and has a capacity of just 7.9kWh. Ferrari claims an electric-only range of 25.7km for the SF90. Charging can be done either by plugging it in or using the engine as a generator.
The gearbox is a newly developed 8-speed dual-clutch automatic unit, which is lighter, more compact and better than the previous 7-speed unit. Shifts are claimed to be faster as well. The Stradale also comes with improved brakes and a better suspension setup. It can do the 0-100kph sprint in 2.5 seconds. 0-200 kph takes just 6.7 seconds and the top speed is 342 kph.
