In India, most Indian families, after they buy a new vehicle, take it to a temple to seek the blessings of God. Also, if it is not taken to a temple, Hindu rituals are performed at home by the family members to make sure that evil stays away from the newly bought vehicle. Now, a lot of Indian people also live in foreign countries as well, and some of them, despite living outside of India, perform these rituals. Recently, a video has gone viral on the internet in which a man was seen performing Hindu rituals for his newly bought Aprilia Tuareg 660 Adventure motorcycle in freezing -2°C weather.

Man performing Hindu rituals in -2°C in Germany

This video, showing the man performing Hindu rituals while being barefoot in -2°C temperature, has been shared on Instagram by The Resilient Wanderer on their page. In this short video, he mentions that he lives in Germany and has bought this brand-new Aprilia Tuareg 660 Adventure motorcycle. He then elaborates that even though the temperature outside is -2°C, he still has to perform the Hindu rituals.

The owner of the bike highlighted that it is essential for him to do these rituals, and that too, he has to do them barefoot, as no footwear is allowed while performing these rituals. To many, it may seem normal; however, as mentioned, the temperature in Germany was -2°C, and being barefoot for even a few minutes can be very hard. Yet, this man has managed to do it.

In the clip, we can note that his wife was also accompanying him, and she was seen standing with the “Puja Plate” in her hand. On this plate was chandan, which is a paste that was applied on the mirrors of the bike. Apart from this, the man was seen lighting an incense stick and then putting a lemon under the front wheel and crushing it.

Why is this Hindu ritual done?

The wife of this man, in the same video, explains the reason behind these rituals. She explains that with these traditional rituals, they make sure that the rider, the pillion, and the bike are safe throughout their ownership. Also, these rituals help in warding off the evil eye, which can cause issues to the owner and the bike.

Woman entrepreneur takes Hayabusa to temple

This is not the first time that we have seen a superbike getting blessings with Hindu rituals. Just a few weeks ago, we shared a video in which a Suzuki Hayabusa of a woman entrepreneur from Bangalore, Karnataka, was taken to a temple. In this short video, the woman who owned this bike was seen worshiping in a temple and then praying in front of her Hayabusa.
