Billionaire Dr. CJ Roy Finds His First Car - A Maruti 800 - After 27 Years: Buys It Back For Rs. 10 Lakh [Video]

Dr. C.J. Roy is an Indian billionaire businessman, Chairman and Founder of Confident Real Estate Group. He established the company back in 1991 and since then it has come a long way. He is now one of the richest businessmen in the country. Like most billionaires, C.J. Roy also owns a bunch of expensive cars, but it all started with a humble Maruti 800. He recently came across the same car after 27 years and decided to buy it back for Rs 10 lakh!

C.J. Roy had posted a video on his social media profile last week. In the video, he spoke about his first car, the Maruti 800, which he had bought back in 1994 when he was 25. He used the car for a few years and then sold it as he upgraded to an Esteem.

From then on, he bought many more cars but deep down he always missed his first car. He urged his followers to help him locate his first car, a Maruti 800 with registration number CKJ 3637. He also mentioned in the video that he was ready to spend around Rs 10 lakh to buy it back.

After the video was posted, it immediately went viral and within a week’s time we saw a new video where C.J. Roy is seen standing next to his first car, the Maruti 800. It had been abandoned by the current owners for some reason and the car was not in working condition.

The current owner of the car must have come across the video and heard about the Rs 10 lakh offer. He shared the video of the car with C.J. Roy’s manager, and that is how the businessman came to know about it.

In the video, we can hear C.J. Roy say that he currently owns several expensive cars including a Bugatti Veyron, but nothing is as special as his first car. Because of the sentimental value, he decided to locate the car and buy it back.

In the social media post, he mentions that he bought the car back in 1994 for Rs 1.10 lakh and has now paid almost 10 times more to buy it back. This is not the first time we have seen someone go in search of their first vehicle that they once sold and successfully buy it back, but this is probably the first time someone has bought a car like the Maruti 800 for such a premium.

C.J. Roy, as mentioned above, is an Indian businessman but he and his family are settled in Dubai. There he owns expensive cars like Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis, and a Bugatti Veyron. In fact, the overall value of cars in his garage is said to be worth around Rs 10 million. He even has properties and cars in India too.
