India's Richest MLA Celebrates Ayudha Pooja With Rolls Royce, Ferrari And More [Video]

In India, the trend of buying expensive cars and bikes has caught up among many young businessmen and entrepreneurs. We have featured many of them on our website too. Not just businessmen and celebrities, even politicians have started following a similar trend. While many of them use Fortuner and other SUVs, most of them don’t have a good taste in cars. However, M.T.B. Nagaraj of Hosakote, near Bangalore, is an exception. He is currently the State Minister for Small-Scale Industries and Municipal Administration and is known for his large collection of expensive cars. A new set of images has gone viral on the internet where the politician lined up all his cars to perform Ayudha Pooja.
The images show all the cars in Mr. Nagaraj’s collection parked outside his mansion. We see several expensive and ultra-luxury cars in the pictures, and here is a list of them:
The star of the line-up here is the eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom owned by Mr. Nagaraj, finished in white. It is powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine, which produces 563 bhp of maximum power and 900 Nm of torque. We are not going to guess the price as it is completely based on the customisations he would have opted for.
The current-generation Range Rover is another SUV in Nagaraj’s garage. Range Rovers have once again started gaining popularity among rich businessmen, celebrities, and politicians. Nagaraj owns this SUV in the Lantau Bronze shade. The exact spec of this SUV is not known, as it is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The price for a brand-new Range Rover starts at Rs 2.39 crore and goes up to Rs 4.17 crore (ex-showroom).
He also owns a Ferrari. The blue-colored Ferrari F8 Tributo is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, pumping out 710 bhp of power and 770 Nm of torque. The price for this supercar starts at around Rs 4.02 crore, ex-showroom.
Another SUV in Nagaraj’s collection is the Defender 110. The SUV offers a balance of premium luxury features without compromising on off-road capabilities. In Mr. Nagaraj’s case, the Defender offers the much-needed dominance and road presence.
In the parking lot, we also see a BMW XM that the politician bought last year. The XM offers a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dedicated red-colored M mode buttons, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, a premium sound system, ADAS, and more. It is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine, which, along with the electric motor, generates around 653 PS and 800 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the SUV has a range of 88 km in EV mode. As this is a plug-in hybrid vehicle, it delivers around 62 kmpl. The price of a brand-new BMW XM is Rs 2.60 crore, ex-showroom.
We also see a Mini Countryman Electric next to the XM. The Countryman is finished in a shade of grey and is powered by a 66.4 kWh battery pack that generates 313 bhp and 494 Nm, with a claimed range of 462 km. The price for the Countryman S is Rs 54.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
The quintessential vehicle in the garage of any Indian politician, the Innova Crysta has been ruling the Indian market for its reliability and low cost of maintenance. The Innova Crysta uses a 2.4-liter diesel engine which makes 148 bhp of maximum power and 343 Nm of maximum torque.
In the corner behinf the Defender, we see the quarter glass of a Maruti van. This is probably the least expensive car in Nagaraj’s garage. We are not even sure whether the car is used by the politician or his staff. The Maruti Omni is also an iconic van and has played a crucial role in Indian automotive history. Other than the vehicles seen here in the video, Mr. Nagaraj also owns a Bentley Continental GT, Toyota Fortuner, Mercedes-Benz GL350 CDI, and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in his garage.
