There are Indians from different parts of the country who have migrated to other countries in search of jobs or higher studies. Many of them are doing well, while others are still struggling. We have seen many videos where Indians in other countries have gotten involved in arguments and issues with locals. Here, we have one such video that has been circulating on the internet. In this video, an Indian woman who is a cab driver is seen arguing with a passenger over a tip.

The video has been shared by several users on various social media platforms. It was recorded by the passenger, and in the video, we see that the passenger was asking the driver to open the door after the car reached the drop-off location.

The woman driver, who appears to be Indian, can be seen asking for a tip from the passenger. The passenger replies by saying that she won’t be giving her any tip. To this, the woman driver responds that it is a rule in the country and that the passenger must give the driver a tip before leaving the car. The passenger tells the driver that she has never encountered such a situation before and has never paid a tip to an Uber driver.

The Indian woman driver then argues that she has provided a service and deserves a tip. The passenger replies that the car was not clean and that the driver has not done a good job of maintaining cleanliness. It appears that the car in the video is a Mercedes-Benz, and we can see soda cans lying on the center console.

The driver then tells the passenger that it doesn’t matter how dirty the driver’s cabin is. She insists that the rear seat of the car is clean, and the passenger should only be concerned about that. The woman driver continues demanding a tip, but the passenger refuses. It appears that the driver had locked the doors and was not letting the passenger out until she paid the tip.

The Indian woman raises her voice in the video, stating that the passenger is not understanding. The passenger insists that she has already made the payment and that tipping is optional. The woman claims that tipping is not optional but mandatory in the UK. The video ends abruptly, so we are unsure how the situation was resolved.

The comments under the video blames the woman driver for her rude behaviour. Some of them are like, “I don't know why this English woman is so polite. I would have raised my voice e and made it clear if she doesn't let me out I will let myself out and call the police.”, “Send her back to wherever she comes from. Defaming every brown expat. Shameful!! Boils my blood. Please someone tell me she was arrested and punished for this heinous act!”

We checked online and found that tipping cab drivers for good service is actually not mandatory. We do not support the cab driver’s actions in this situation. Since she is in the service industry, she should know how to deal with customers.

Simply arguing with passengers will not leave a good impression and could negatively impact her ratings. We assume that the customer might have raised a complaint about this rude behavior and that necessary action was taken against the driver. We are also unsure whether the passenger reported the incident to the police, as the driver was essentially holding the passenger in the car against her will.
