The video showing the Maruti Suzuki Victoris with 22-inch aftermarket alloy wheels has been shared on YouTube by Tarun Vlogs 3445 on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that he found the alloy wheels he liked. However, the tyre shops around Delhi could not provide him with the low-profile tyres he specifically wanted for his Victoris.

Following this, the vlogger, along with his friend, reaches the shop where he reveals the design of the 22-inch alloy wheels. It can be noted that he has opted for a chunky five-spoke alloy wheel design finished in a classy shade of satin chrome. After this, he shows the set of brand-new low-profile tyres chosen by him.

The video then shows the shop mounting the new tyres on the 22-inch alloy wheels, after which the front left wheel was fitted on the car to test the clearance due to the bigger size. The owner of the shop highlighted that they would need to apply heat to the inner fender liner and push it inside to make more space. This had to be done so that the wheel would not damage the inner fender.

After this test fitment, the alloy wheels were taken for balancing, and then, after all wheels were balanced, they were fitted on the vehicle. The owner then drove the vehicle home and mentioned that the vehicle now feels taller and has a lot more road presence than before.

He added that there are a bunch of other modifications that will be done on this vehicle. In the video, the owner also mentions that he has not sold his original steel rims and tyres. He stated that he might use them when he plans to go on a longer road trip, as low-profile tyres make the drive a bit harsh.

Should these huge aftermarket alloy wheels be fitted to cars?

For those wondering if fitting such massive aftermarket alloy wheels to a vehicle is a good idea or not, the simple answer is that these alloy wheels are only for aesthetic purposes. They do not provide any comfort during the ride. Instead, they make the ride of a vehicle even worse, as they are fitted with very low-profile tyres.

Such tyres have very thin tyre walls, so they cannot absorb the impact from bigger potholes, and there is always a high chance of the alloy wheels getting damaged if the impact takes place at a higher speed. These alloy wheels also increase the unsprung weight, which directly impacts the suspension.

Also, there are a number of other problems, such as poor handling in wet weather conditions, reduction in braking efficiency, and reduced acceleration and performance. However, despite these downsides, people still buy them and install them because they make the vehicle look better.
