Due to this reason, the Endeavour still holds its value in the used car market. Today, there are a lot of Endeavours on the road; however, there are some which are more unique than others. Recently, we came across one such Ford Endeavour which has been given a set of massive 28-inch alloy wheels. Also, it is currently the only car in India with 28-inch alloy wheels.
The video showing the only Ford Endeavour in India with 28-inch alloy wheels has been shared on YouTube by Mihir Galat on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the owner of this particular Ford Endeavour. He mentions that he was featured on his channel around two years ago when he had a Toyota Fortuner. The vlogger added that the Fortuner at the time had 24-inch alloy wheels.
Following this, he then asks the owner about the details of his current garage. To this, he replies that he currently has this Ford Endeavour and a Land Rover Defender. After this, the vlogger starts asking about the details of this particular Ford Endeavour. The owner mentions that this is a 2021 model and it is a 2.0-litre 4X2 automatic variant.
The vlogger then asks the owner of this SUV about the cost of the alloy wheels and the process of installing them in the Ford Endeavour. To this, the owner states that he bought them from Delhi. He elaborates that these wheels were specifically imported for his car and are currently the only 28-inch alloy wheels in the country.
As for the price, the owner mentions that he paid Rs 5.5 lakh for the set of four alloy wheels. He added that he also had to buy special low-profile tyres, which they had to put manually as the machine could not hold the 28-inch alloy wheels. Following this, the vlogger asks if the owner has done any other modifications. He then replies that, apart from the alloys, only the windows have been tinted black.
The owner of this particular Ford Endeavour mentions that the driving experience of this Endeavour is decent, as the factory suspension setup is very well tuned. However, he adds that he has to be very careful on the road, as hard hits of potholes can damage the wheels. Apart from this, the turning radius of the vehicle has increased a lot, as the wheel cannot be fully turned without the fender rubbing.
The simple answer is no. You should not add such massive alloy wheels to your vehicle because it can cause damage to the suspension and the engine of the vehicle. Also, such massive alloy wheels are not very safe to ride at high speeds, as they can break easily. Additionally, the vehicle can get into a death wobble, where the steering wheels start shaking violently due to such massive tyres and high speeds.
