Videos of people taking deliveries of their luxury cars often amass massive viewership on various social media platforms. One such video that was recently shared online shows India's shortest BMW owner taking delivery of his 5-series. Ajay Kumar, better known as Guinness Pakru, is in fact, the shortest lead actor in the Indian film industry. He works primarily in Malayalam movies and has now added a 2021 BMW 520d Luxury Line to his garage.

The actor has bought the car in White. He purchased it from Luxemoto, a pre-owned luxury car dealer in Kochi. The 520d Luxury Line, had an on-road price of Rs 86.7 lakh in Kochi, back when it was on sale. It was replaced by the outgoing G60 Long Wheelbase (LWB) sedan in 2024. Ajay Kumar seems to have paid around 51 lakh (without considering taxes and other costs) for the pre-owned luxury sedan. The dealer organised a grand delivery ceremony for the actor at their facility.

The video shows Ajay Kumar arriving at the dealership in a Toyota Innova with his family. The sedan is kept under a Grey veil, properly lit and decorated. The family is excited about the purchase. They uncover the 5 series with warm smiles. They then receive the key and pose for pictures, together. The actor is then seen completing the paperwork. His wife then drives the car out of the dealership...

More About The 5 Series (G30 Facelift)

This 520d belongs to the G30 generation, which was in production from 2017 to 2023. It is in fact the facelifted car. BMW launched the G30 generation in India in 2017. A facelift was introduced in June 2021. It enjoyed great acceptance in India. Many celebrities, businessmen and public figures added it to their garages.

At launch, the facelifted car had an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 62.9 lakh. The top-spec was priced at Rs 71.9 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift brought more features and tech to the G30, making it a more comfortable place to be in.

The design received minor-but-tasteful tweaks. The car got a sharper kidney grille, sleeker headlights, slightly tweaked front bumper, revised DRL design, refreshed 3D tail lamps, and twin-exit exhaust tips. The 'M-Sport' variants came with BMW’s Laserlight headlights. The overall styling evolved into something much sportier than before.

The facelift made the 5-series larger than the sedan it replaced. It gained 27mm in overall length, and much of this could be attributed to the new bumpers. Two new colours were added to the palette- Bernina Grey Amber and Phytonic Blue.

The facelift's cabin got a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, an updated climate control display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, configurable ambient lighting, reversing assistant and a 360-degree parking camera. Opting for the M Sport Package will add an M-specific steering wheel, sporty interior trims, M-spec door sills, dark Blue brake callipers and multiple M badges to the car.

Three engines were offered on the facelifted G30- one petrol and two diesels. The 530i had 2-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that would produce 248bhp and 350Nm of torque. The 520d used to come with a 2-litre four-cylinder diesel that makes 187bhp and 400Nm. The full-blown 530d had 261bhp and 620Nm on offer, thanks to its mighty 3-litre six-cylinder diesel engine. It could do the 0-100 run in just 5.7 seconds. It was in fact, the quickest among its competition!
