Bengaluru Start-Up Co-Founder Becomes India's Youngest Maybach EQS Electric SUV Owner

One of the main reasons why people want to become entrepreneurs is that it gives them freedom and the money to buy their dream cars. Recently, one such entrepreneur from Bangalore, Karnataka, was seen fulfilling his dream of buying the Mercedes Maybach EQS 680 luxury electric SUV. This particular entrepreneur has managed to become the youngest person to own this luxury electric Maybach SUV.
The video showing the delivery of the Mercedes Maybach EQS 680 to the youngest owner in India has been shared on YouTube by Sundaram Motors Bangalore on their channel. It starts off with a few luxury cars, including a modified Mercedes Benz CLA, a BMW 7-Series with unique aftermarket alloy wheels, and others getting inside the dealership premises.
Following this, the entrepreneur, along with his close friends and other business partners, entered the dealership. The video then shows all of these men arriving at the spot where the Mercedes Maybach EQS 680 was kept inside a box with a bow on the side. The entrepreneur and his friends were seen taking pictures and videos before the grand unveiling of this electric luxury SUV.
Soon after this, the owner then opens the box, and the car was covered with a Maybach-branded satin cloth, which he, along with his friends and the co-founder of his company, pulled back. He then finally started checking out the vehicle. He was then handed over a massive bouquet and was given a shawl and a turban.
The dealership staff also handed him over a champagne bottle and the key to his all-new Maybach EQS 680. After this formal delivery, a pandit was seen performing Hindu rituals in front of this SUV, and the entrepreneur was standing next to him and was following all the instructions. Finally, he sat inside the vehicle on the driving seat and drove the vehicle out of the dealership.
The owner of this particular Mercedes Maybach EQS 680 is Anish Mallappa. He is the co-founder of Focally, which is a Bangalore, Karnataka-based technology start-up that was founded back in 2020. It specializes in augmented reality wearables and spatial computing.
Focally is the creator of India's first swappable frame smartglasses. Anish Mallappa focuses on the marketing of the brand, and he is also the director of the brand. Focally’s other co-founders are Sagar Madliyavar and Manish Mallappa.
Now coming to the details of the Mercedes Maybach EQS 680 luxury electric SUV. It is currently the flagship electric Maybach SUV on sale in India. It starts at Rs 2.28 crore for the 680 variant, which has been bought by the entrepreneur. Apart from it, the company also offers the Night Series version of this SUV as well, which is priced at Rs 2.63 crore.
On the outside, the Mercedes Maybach EQS 680 gets a signature Maybach grille, tiny Maybach logos on the ends of the front bumper, classy-looking dual-tone paint options, and 22-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with connected LED headlights and taillamps.
Moving on to the interior, the EQS 680 comes with a triple-screen display, two 11.6-inch displays for rear seat occupants, reclining, heated, ventilated, and massaging rear seats, a 15-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system, active ambient lighting, Nappa leather seats, and powered curtains, along with many other creature comforts.
Powering the Mercedes Maybach EQS 680 are dual motors (one at each axle). Together, this setup produces 658 bhp and 950 Nm of torque. Despite being a luxury electric SUV, which weighs a lot, it can do a sprint of 0–100 kmph in just above four seconds. As for the battery pack, it gets a massive 122 kWh unit, which provides it a range of around 600 km on a single full charge.
