Around the world, materialistic things like expensive cars, mansions or luxury apartments, and designer clothes are all associated with rich people, and in most cases, that is true as well. When it comes to hotels, there are several expensive properties in India where you are not allowed to enter on a bike or in an autorickshaw. In most cases, this has to do with the image of the hotel. However, here we have a video where a group of friends decided to troll a 5-star resort by arriving in an autorickshaw.

The video has been shared by Suraj Verma on his Instagram page. In this short clip, which has now gone viral on the internet, we see the Instagram influencer along with his friends arriving at the 5-star resort. Looking at the video, it seems they had arrived at the JW Marriott Resort near Nandi Hills.

The autorickshaw driver followed the instructions given and drove straight towards the entrance. Once they reached the entrance, the security guard came out and asked the occupants where they wanted to go.

The group told him that they wanted to enter, and when it looked like the guard wasn’t going to let them in, they showed him the key to their room. They explained that they were guests at the resort and already had a room booked.

It took some time for the guard to process this, and he went back to his room confused. He then started discussing the situation with his seniors and might have even called the main security office for confirmation.

Meanwhile, the vlogger and his friends sitting in the autorickshaw were anticipating the guard’s next move. None of them were sure how this would end, and they assumed the guard might come back and tell them to walk to the lobby instead.

However, that didn’t happen. To their surprise, the guard opened the gates. The influencer and his friends entered the resort in the autorickshaw and were dropped off outside the hotel porch.

We assume this was probably a social experiment where the vlogger wanted to test if he would only be admitted if he arrived at the resort in a car or cab. Most resorts and hotels in India are private properties, and rights of admission are reserved. This means the hotel has the right to decide whether they want to admit a person or a vehicle into their premises or not.

If the guard had not given them the green signal to go ahead, the incident could have been used against the hotel, as social media is often used as a tool to gain popularity.

We assume the resort management was aware of the situation, which is why they decided to let the autorickshaw in. They knew that if they had stopped the auto in front of the entrance and refused entry, it would have been portrayed negatively on social media, which could have actually affected the image of the hotel or resort.
