Mandovi Motors is one of the most well-known names in South India’s automotive retail sector. It was Karnataka’s first-ever authorized Maruti Suzuki dealership. Established back in 1984 by the Late Aroor Sripathi Rao, it soon became a prominent Maruti dealer in Bengaluru and Mangaluru, earning a reputation for its strong presence and trusted service.

Leading the company today is Sanjay Rao, a true car enthusiast. Over the years, he has curated an impressive and diverse personal car collection. His garage, often referred to as the ASR garage, includes the likes of Lamborghinis, Maybachs and Maserattis! Let's take a quick garage tour...

Sanjay Rao's Car Collection: An Overview

Rao is quite active on Instagram and posts content around his personal collection of cars and bikes. He seems to have great taste in cars, and his collection includes both modern and vintage cars. Mean machines like the Lamborghini Urus, Ford Mustang, BMW M2, C43 AMG, Porsche 911 GT3 and the Green Huracan STO show his penchant for speed.

His feed also have images and videos of him from track days he has attended with various cars- from Porsches to Lamborghinis. There are even pictures of him driving at the Mercedes AMG Ice Experience 2025.

He also owns the likes of a Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS600, for luxury-packed commuting. Another member of his garage is a previous generation Porsche Panamera. In vintages and classics, Rao owns a Cadillac and a Rolls Royce. Of course, there could be more. These are the shown in his Instagram feed. Another member of his garage is a Maserati Levante diesel SUV, which has a base ex-showroom price of 1.44 Crores.

Interestingly, this successful entrepreneur's garage also includes some extremely humble cars. He owns a heavily customised Maruti Swift which now wears a shade of bright Yellow with tasteful touches of Black, including dual hood stripes. The rear spoiler and sideview mirrors are also finished in Black and the car rides on aftermarket wheels.

The lighting also seems to have been updated. Inside, the seats wear Black leather upholstery and there are Yellow stripes on the steering wheel. The feature list could also have been enhanced.

A Closer Look At Some Of The Most Exciting Ones

Honestly, for an expansive collection like this, it is difficult to handpick the best or most exciting ones. Having said that, here's a bunch of vehicles which caught our attention instantly.

Maybach GLS 600

The ex-showroom price of the GLS 600 Maybach starts at Rs 3.35 Crores in India. Rao took delivery of this multi-crore SUV from Mercedes Benz Bengaluru. Powered by a massive 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, this SUV can do 0-100 kph sprint in just 4.9 seconds. It excels with its luxury and comfort levels as well.

Lamborghini Huracan STO

With an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.99 Crores, this is the road legal version of the Huracan Super Trofeo Evo race car. It comes powered by the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 which makes 640hp and 565Nm. The STO has Rear Wheel Drive (RWD). A lot of race-derived tech and STO-specific drive modes are also offered. It does the 0-100 kph run in just 3.0 seconds. The STO excels with its dynamics and is lighter than the Huracan EVO.

Though a convertible was on sale globally, India just got the coupe. Rao has customised his Mustang by adding '77' as race number on the doors and Black stripes.

Lamborghini Urus

A garage such as this is incomplete without an Urus. The ASR Urus is finished in a classy shade of Blue. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 641 hp. Lamborghini currently sells a facelifted version of the SUV, while Rao's Urus is the pre-facelift guise. The current Urus has a starting price of Rs 4.18 crores.
