KTM launched the new generation Duke 200 in India last year. At the time of compiling this story, it has an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.05 lakh- almost 6,000 rupees more expensive than the vehicle it replaced. The October 2024 update has added more features to the Duke 200.

It now comes with a new 5-inch TFT display- sourced directly from the third generation Duke 390. The console has built-in smartphone connectivity and support for Bluetooth-based turn-by-turn navigation. You will have to use the KTM Connect mobile application for this.

The smartphone suite also consists of services and functions like incoming call notifications. The screen also offers a customizable colour theme for shift rpm. The new Duke 200 gets an improved Supermoto ABS system.

Other than the screen and the above-mentioned functions, the motorcycle remains almost untouched. It retains the design cues and powertrain of the predecessor. Key design highlights of the new Duke 200 are a vertically stacked LED headlight cluster, sharp bodywork, and youthful wheels.

There are two colour options available- Dark Galvano and Electronic Orange. Metallic Silver, which was on sale previously, has now been discontinued.

Talking of the powertrain, the 2024 Duke 200 gets the same 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as before. It makes 25 bhp and 19.3 Nm of torque. The transmission is a six-speed unit and the motorcycle is equipped with a slipper clutch as well. The suspension duties are carried out by USD front forks and an adjustable rear mono-shock. There are dual disc brakes too.

In the Indian market, the key rivals of Duke 200 include the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Suzuki Gixxer 250. In KTM's India portfolio, it sits between the Duke 125 and Duke 250.
