Bizarre! Half-Naked Stranger Jumps Onto Moving Car In Peak Bangalore Traffic (Video)
Indian roads are never short on drama, but what happened on Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road has now left everyone shocked. Imagine driving through busy city roads. You are already unhappy with the traffic around and its slow pace. Suddenly, a random guy jumps onto your car from nowhere. He sits on your bonnet and even shouts at you. Scary and bizarre, right? Well, this actually happened in Bengaluru today, a video of which has now been shared online.
The Video
The clip was shared on the X (previously Twitter) handle ‘Dave’. It posts content around road safety and crashes. It happened on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near the Novotel hotel, and was captured by the front and rear dash camera units of the car involved.
As it opens, we see the vehicle move slowly through a two-lane road. Other vehicles can be seen around, all of which seem to be moving slowly. The car here is keeping right. To its immediate right is the concrete partition that separates the to and fro lanes. Pillars for the metro can also be seen there.
Soon, a half-naked man appears on the screen. He jumps off the concrete partition and enters the lane that the car is on. He has a small package in his hand and is wearing sunglasses! He notices the car and walks confidently towards it. Then, giving the driver a shock, he jumps onto the bonnet and gets seated there in full swag! He does this act in a very cinematic manner!
It takes a moment or two for the car driver to realize what he/she is in. He started to shout at the stranger, probably trying to make him get down and clear the way. At the same time, he hits the brakes and makes the car come to a complete stop. These provoke the half-naked stranger. He seems to be in a completely intoxicated state.
The stranger turns to the driver and shouts back. He even threatens the driver and hits the car’s front windshield with his fist. He refuses to get down and sits adamantly on the car’s bonnet. Soon, he gets down and walks towards the driver's door.
The next thing that we see in the video is a recording from the rear camera. It shows the car slowly moving forward. The sparingly dressed, visibly intoxicated stranger runs after it and manages to climb on the boot. The car here is likely a sedan. He tries to get to the roof, but fails as the vehicle refuses to stop. Towards the end, we see the stranger falling off and running away.
The video doesn’t have the actual conversations or the original soundtrack from the dash camera recording. But the guy here seems to be high on alcohol or other substances. His act is likely to have caused damage to the car.
Video Sparks Outrage Online
The video has been racking up views on X. At the time of writing this article, it has had over 273K views. It has sparked massive outrage among netizens. Many commented that the man was under the influence of drugs at the time of this incident. One user even remarked that cases such as this have lately been increasing in Bengaluru.
Another user explained that the man in this video is mentally unstable (and not intoxicated) and once tried to snatch someone’s phone in front of policemen. The reality of this remains unclear. The way this car driver handled the situation deserves appreciation- without losing presence of mind, getting scared or even harming the guy.
