Coaching Institute Founder: Will Gift CAT Topper My Rs. 2 Crore Jaguar XJL

Imagine being rewarded a Rs 2 crore luxury car for getting 100 percentile in your CAT examination. You’d say we have gone mad, right? Thankfully, this is not the case, and recently it has been announced by a coaching institute that they will indeed be gifting a Rs 2 crore luxury car to the topper of their institute. Recently, iQuanta, a CAT coaching institute, made this huge announcement.
The coaching institute, with the help of its Facebook page, made this announcement. They mentioned that their Founder and CEO, Indrajeet Singh, would be gifting his personal Jaguar XJL luxury car worth Rs 2 crore. He will be giving this car to the person who scores 100 percentile from his coaching.
Previously, the same coaching institute gifted a Royal Enfield motorcycle to one of its students for achieving 100 percentile. This particular gift is most likely to attract new students as it is great marketing for the institute. The post stated, “iQuanta founder has decided to give away his Jaguar to the CAT 100%iler as a gift, a Big Motivation for CAT 2024 Aspirant.”
Currently, the Jaguar XJL has been discontinued in India due to lackluster sales. However, there are still a number of used examples available in the country. This particular car, as mentioned, is also the personal car of the owner of this institute and will be gifted only if someone from his institute scores 100 percentile.
The last generation of the Jaguar XJL was launched in India back in 2016. It was the flagship sedan from the brand, and it commanded a price tag of Rs 1.16 crore at the time. It was offered with a number of engine options.
The entry-level variant came powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor. It produced a maximum power of 237 bhp along with a peak torque of 340 Nm. There was also a 3.0-litre, V6 turbocharged diesel engine that made 296 bhp. On the inside this sedan came equipped with all the luxury amenities which helped in competing in the flagship luxury sedan segment.
The Jaguar XJL competed with popular sedans like the Mercedes Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, and Audi A8. As for the popular owners of the Jaguar XJL in India, the Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh used to own one. It was then offered in the used car market for a price tag of Rs 23.98 lakh, which was a fraction of its original price.
Coming to the coaching institutes of India, today, in order to bring in more students, a number of institutes are doing similar marketing stunts. A few weeks ago, a video was shared online in which students of Aakash Institute Meerut were shown standing on Mahindra Thar SUVs and Tata Ace pickup trucks.
These students were taken out on a parade where they were dancing after the results of NEET were announced. At the time, many netizens slammed this new marketing strategy by the institute. This celebration came out at a time when there was a huge controversy regarding the leak of NEET papers.
