In the video, we see John arriving at the dealership in his Toyota Land Cruiser LC300. He walks into the dealership and is greeted by the staff. After finishing the paperwork, the car is unveiled.
John Alukka checks the car out and then finally drives it out of the dealership. We even see him drive the SUV on the road towards the end of the video. He bought the Mahindra BE6 in the Desert Myst shade. In the past, we have seen several rich businessmen and celebrities take delivery of Mahindra EVs.
Most of them opted for the bigger XEV 9E. The reason most of them gave for choosing the XEV 9E was that they felt it was a lot more spacious and more of a comfortable family SUV, while the BE6 was meant for someone looking for a stylish SUV. Most of them felt that the BE6 was more appealing to a younger audience.
The BE6 was previously known as the BE 6E. Due to an issue with Indigo Airlines, Mahindra had to rename the SUV as BE6. The SUV gets a very sophisticated design that cannot be compared with any car or SUV currently on sale in India. It looks futuristic, youthful, and powerful.
Mahindra designed the SUV to look sleek, and the best part is that they managed to retain most of the design elements from the concept that they had showcased a few years ago. The BE6 is the smaller SUV of the two, but that doesn’t mean it lacks features. It comes with sleek-looking LED projector headlamps and C-shaped LED DRLs.
Mahindra’s new logo is also seen on the frunk. The SUV gets flush-type door handles, a coupe SUV-like design, large alloy wheels with low-resistance tyres, and C-shaped all-LED tail lamps with a connected LED bar. These LED bars even have the “Groove Me” function, which changes with the tune or music played in the vehicle.
The interior of the SUV is also premium, with features like an illuminated BE logo on the steering wheel, twin floating screens on the dashboard, sleek AC vents, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, crash-resistant battery technology, seven airbags, and more. It also gets an infinity glass roof with dynamic LED lights.
The BE6 is available with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options. John Alukka has bought the top-end 79 kWh version. Prices for the Mahindra BE6 start at Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
