Bollywood Actor John Abraham Buys 'Customized' Mahindra Thar Roxx Black Edition [Video]
Since last week, we have been seeing a lot of videos where Bollywood actor John Abraham has been working with Mahindra on his customized Thar Roxx. Actor John Abraham had shown interest in the Roxx SUV at the time of its launch. It looks like John Abraham’s Roxx is finally ready, and the actor recently took delivery of the same.
The videos and images of John Abraham’s Thar Roxx have been circulating online. In the video, we see John Abraham unveil his brand-new Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 SUV. He is one of those actors who love SUVs, and the Mahindra Thar Roxx seen here is actually a customized version.
Customized Thar Roxx
The Mahindra Thar Roxx seen in the video is finished in all black. The actor had mentioned in one of the previous teasers that he likes black shades on his cars a lot, and that is reflected in this as well. As part of the customizations, we see John’s initials, “JA,” neatly placed on different parts of the car.
We see the JA badge on the C-pillar and fender of the Thar Roxx. Apart from the badge, everything else on this SUV looks similar to a regular Thar Roxx. The SUV continues to use the same 18-19 inch wheels as the standard versions. The actor has opted for the top-end diesel 4x4 version of the Roxx.
The 4x4 badge on this SUV is also blacked out. We get a glimpse of the interiors in the video, and it comes with Mocha brown upholstery. The seats have been customized too, featuring JA initials stitched on the headrests. The metal plate on the lower part of the dashboard is also customized. Along with the serial number of the vehicle, Mahindra has also mentioned that this vehicle is specially manufactured for John Abraham. All the chrome elements in the car have been blacked out, which looks great.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx seen here is the top-end variant, which comes with features like ventilated seats, projector LED headlamps with circular LED DRLs, 19-inch alloy wheels, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, and more. What John Abraham now owns is a unique one-of-one unit of the Mahindra Thar Roxx. Mahindra is known for offering such customizations for their special customers.
Engine & Transmission
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Mahindra is, in fact, offering the Roxx as a 2WD option as standard, while the 4x4 feature is available as an option with the higher-level diesel versions. The petrol variant doesn’t get this option currently.
The petrol version of the Thar Roxx is powered by a 2.0-liter mStallion turbocharged engine that generates 174 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version uses a 2.2-liter mHawk turbocharged engine that generates 172 Bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options of the Thar Roxx come with manual and automatic transmission options.
