Supercar culture in India has changed over the years. The number of sports cars and supercars has also gone up, and people have started finding new ways to make their garages unique. They often invest a lot in fancy registration numbers and try to maintain the same number across all their vehicles. One such businessman from Kerala is Venu Gopalakrishnan, the Founder and CEO of Litmus7, an IT firm. He recently bought Kerala’s first Lamborghini Revuelto, and for this special car, he spent around ₹25 lakh for the registration number.

There are several videos of the Lamborghini Revuelto on the internet. Since the day it was delivered, the owner and his team have been doing their best to get the fancy number for the supercar. He bought the supercar in Matter Verde Turbine colour, which is a matte olive green shade that looks extremely good on the car.

In previous interviews, Venu had mentioned that he likes to collect cars with different types of engines, and that is the reason why he has three different Lamborghinis along with other supercars and expensive luxury cars in his collection. The video of the RTO inspecting the Revuelto before registration had also gone viral on the internet. He bought the registration number ‘KL 07 DH 7000’ for ₹25,02,000 in the auction.

Lamborghini Revuelto

The Lamborghini Revuelto was officially unveiled in March 2023. After its debut, the supercar was introduced to the Indian market in December 2023. Like many Lamborghini models, the Revuelto has found a decent number of buyers. According to reports, Lamborghini has secured only a limited number of units, and the brand has announced that the Revuelto is sold out until 2026. We assume that Venu had made a booking when it was launched.

The Revuelto replaces the iconic Aventador and is currently the brand’s flagship model. It is a special supercar, as it is the first plug-in hybrid supercar from Lamborghini. The Revuelto is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with three electric motors and a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Lamborghini claims this is their lightest and most powerful engine yet, generating 825 PS and 725 Nm of torque. When combined with the electric motors - two at the front and one at the rear - the Revuelto generates 1,015 PS and 807 Nm of torque.

The motors on the front axle power the front wheels, while the one at the rear assists the engine in sending power to the rear wheels. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Lamborghini claims that this plug-in hybrid supercar can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The top speed of the Revuelto is said to be around 350 km/h. A brand-new Lamborghini Revuelto costs around ₹9 crore, ex-showroom.

Venu is not spending such a huge amount on registration numbers for the first time. In fact, he also holds the record for buying the most expensive registration number in the country. When he bought his Lamborghini Urus Performante, he spent around ₹45 lakh on just the registration, and that is what made Venu popular among car enthusiasts across the nation.
