The love that automotive enthusiasts have for their cars and bikes is truly unmatched. This love makes them do things which many people would consider to be outrageous. However, opinions of other people hardly ever matter to enthusiasts. Recently, showing their deep appreciation and love for his Honda Civic, an owner did something extremely unique. This particular owner decided to put his beloved Honda Civic on the balcony of his newly constructed home, and the video of this has become viral on the internet.

This video, showing a fully modified Honda Civic parked on the balcony of this enthusiast's home, has been shared on Instagram by Irshu Illikal on their page. It starts off with the view of this particular Honda Civic, finished in the stunning Nardo Grey paint job, suspended in the air by a crane. We can note that the engine of this vehicle is missing.

Most likely, it was taken off to reduce the weight of the vehicle so that it can be parked on the balcony and not cause stress on the structure of the home. Also, such cars, which are used as art pieces, do not actually require a working engine as they are not going to be used. Also, the front bumper and rear bumper of this sedan were removed before it got hoisted up by the crane.

Following the parking of this Civic on the front balcony of this home, this sedan was refitted with its aftermarket front and rear bumpers. Other modifications of this particular Civic include a set of aftermarket alloy wheels and a massive rear spoiler mounted on the rear decklid. As for the spot in which it is parked, it is right on top of the main entrance of this home.

The owner, whose name is Manaf Thottakath (an entrepreneur) from Malappuram, in order to keep his vehicle safe from direct rain, has also added a glass roof on top of the vehicle. Overall, with the complete house being finished in white color, this Nardo Grey-colored Civic looks very unique and elevates the beauty of this home. For many enthusiasts, this is what a dream house looks like.

Honda Civic and its craze in Kerala

The Honda Civic, especially the 8th-generation model which was sold in India from 2006 till 2012, has a cult-like following in the southern state of Kerala. There are several reasons behind this. The first one is that the Civic is a very common and easily available used car in Kerala and is bought for a very low price.

Also, the modifications and parts of this sedan are very easily available in the state, as it is a very tuner-friendly car. From unique alloy wheels to aftermarket body kits, spoilers, and scissor doors—you name it, and that aftermarket part can be easily sourced in Kerala. Many enthusiasts also add air suspensions to their Civics in Kerala to lower the stance.

What is very interesting is that the Kerala Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) is very strict. Yet, these enthusiasts still buy and modify these cars. A lot of owners have been asked to revert their cars to original forms and also have been seized as well. However, the love that these enthusiasts have for their cars does not get reduced.
