Tourist Drives 20 Day-Old Kia Carens Clavis Onto Goa Beach: Gets Royally Stuck [Video]

Driving on beaches is always a risky thing, and we have come across several incidents in the past that show the same. We have seen SUVs get stuck on the beach for one reason or another. Here we have one such video from Goa, where tourists from Maharashtra drove their car onto a beach and got stuck in the rising tide.
The video has been shared by In Goa 24x7 on their YouTube channel. As per the report, a tourist from Maharashtra was on holiday in Goa for two days. He was in his brand-new 20-day-old Kia Carens Clavis MPV. The owner of the car was driving near Anjuna when he spotted a small track and decided to drive through it to the beach.
He soon regretted the decision as the car almost immediately got stuck in the sand. The owner of the car tried to get the Carens Clavis out but all his efforts were in vain. The sea was pretty rough and soon the tide started rising. The waves started hitting the car and that was when things got challenging. The car got swept away in the tide and after almost an hour, locals came to help and authorities also reached the spot.
The coastal police officers, along with locals, tied a rope to the front of the car and started pulling it out. With help from locals, they finally managed to pull the car out of the water, but it was still not out of danger. The car had stalled and the recovery van that came for help was not big enough to lift the Carens from the beach to the road.
In the video, we can hear the owner argue with the locals, asking why they can’t jump-start the vehicle so that he could drive the car from a different location. It looks like the owner of the car was not very experienced. Water had gotten inside the car and there is a possibility that the engine might have also taken in some water.
If the owner attempts to start the vehicle, there is a high risk of the engine getting hydrolocked. If that happens, his brand-new vehicle will have to be towed to the dealership and he will have to spend a huge sum to get it repaired. To avoid this, it is always a good idea to get the vehicle on a flatbed, take it to a service center, get the vehicle inspected, and then drive it back.
In this case, since this is a brand-new car, the company warranty will be void as the owner intentionally drove the car onto the beach. Driving on beaches, especially with a 2WD vehicle, is extremely risky as the chances of the car getting stuck in the loose sand are very high.
If it gets stuck, there is no way it can get out of the situation on its own as the front wheels are already stuck and there is no power being sent to the rear wheels. Driving on all the beaches in Goa is also illegal, and we assume that the authorities will take action against the tourist for this irresponsible behaviour.
