Woman Picks Fight After Her Kia Seltos Gets Stopped For Wrong-Side Driving [Video]

Indian roads can sometimes be very unpredictable. People may do dumb things and blame it on you. The recent trend of using dashcameras has exposed several such cases. A video shared by Prateek Singh on YouTube shows how a man who questioned wrong-way driving was shouted at by a woman from the vehicle that committed the violation.

This incident is from Thane, Mumbai. It was shared by a man named Kedar Sawant and was captured by his car's dashcam. The video starts by showing him driving on a busy four-lane road within the city. There are a lot of vehicles around, all slow-moving.

In busy cities like Mumbai, people often jump lanes and do contraflow driving to save time and fuel. Two-wheelers do this the most, as they can wade through the oncoming traffic without much difficulty, due to their compact size.

The man in this case, also encounters a similar situation. Several bikes can be seen coming towards the car, against the ongoing traffic. Soon, we see a Kia Seltos coming against the car! It is driving against the direction of traffic flow and is causing much obstruction and massive public inconvenience. The guy decides to teach the Seltos a lesson. He blocks the SUV's way, bringing it to a halt. The traffic around comes to a standstill as well.

The two vehicles stay still for some time. The Seltos driver seems to expect the camera car to reverse and give way. Sawant, on the other hand, is determined to make the Seltos realise its mistake.

After some time, the Seltos decides to turn back. It reverses. Sawant then inches forward and forces it to make a U-turn. It finally yields. Just when it was about to turn back, a woman got out of the rear seat.

She rushes towards Sawant's car. She is boiling with rage and shouts at him for blocking their way. She asks Sawant what his real problem was. He responds by saying that the SUV was driving on the wrong side and was blocking the way of many vehicles. The woman continues to be furious and keeps on arguing.

She is very aggressive and arrogant, despite the fact that her SUV was at fault. Usually in such cases, the violator tends to bail out without making much noise. If vehicles around and more people get involved, the violator would be put at fault and punished. Most people know this well.

Here, however, the woman continues to argue. Sawant tells her that he has a dashcam fitted on his car. This likely gets her alarmed. She lowers her voice. Frustrated, she hits Sawant's car with her metal bangles.

The Seltos driver soon lowers his window glass and asks the lady to come back. He seems to have noticed the dash camera on Sawant's car. The SUV driver is further aware that driving on the wrong side was a mistake on his part. The lady first refuses but later returns to the Seltos. It then drives off, keeping the correct lane.

This is proof that the use of dashboard cameras can be saviors in chaos. These need to be normalised in our country. In this case, the presence of the dash camera and the Seltos driver noticing it seems to have kept things under control and prevented it from escalating to an instance of severe road rage. In previous cases, we have seen people getting dragged out of their cars and being beaten up.
