KL Rahul 1st Indian Cricketer To Buy Brand-New MG M9 Electric MPV
Luxury MPVs are becoming a lot more popular in India lately. Most recently, the popular Indian cricketer KL Rahul, who is also the captain of Delhi Capitals, has bought himself a brand-new MG M9 electric MPV. KL Rahul was recently seen taking delivery of this MPV at his residence. Just a few months ago, veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini also bought herself an MG M9.

The video showing the delivery of KL Rahul’s MG M9 has been shared on Instagram. It starts off with the cricketer walking towards the car, which was parked in the underground parking of his building. It was covered in a black sheet, and a red bow was kept on it.
Soon after this, he posed with the MG M9, and the cover was removed to reveal his vehicle. After that, the cricketer was shown the MPV by the MG dealership employees. He can be seen sitting on the rear captain's seat and also being shown the rear boot and front of this MPV. Finally, the cricketer also gave his autograph on a bat for the MG team.

The MG M9 is currently one of the most luxurious premium MPVs in India. It is only offered in a single variant, the Presidential Limo, which is priced at Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of design, it gets LED DRLs, projector LED headlamps, a muscular bumper, a closed-off grille, chunky wheel arches, and LED tail lamps with connected light bars.
Now coming to the main highlight of the MG M9 — the MPV comes equipped with rear captain seats. To add to the luxury appeal, the company offers the M9 with a Cognac and black interior colour scheme. It also gets accents like brushed aluminium and faux wood, which add to the classy feel of this MPV.
The middle captain seats of the MG M9 offer 16-way electric adjustability, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. They can also be fully reclined, which makes them even more comfortable. MG has loaded the M9 with a number of features. These include a 12-speaker sound system from JBL, separate infotainment screens for the rear occupants, a split sunroof, and a multi-function steering wheel.
Apart from these, the MPV also gets an all-digital instrument cluster, a 12.23-inch infotainment touchscreen, a wireless smartphone charger, a 360-degree camera, three-zone climate control, memory function for the seats, Level 2 ADAS, and connected car technology.
In terms of the powertrain, the MG M9 comes powered by an electric motor that produces 245 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque. As for the battery pack, it gets a 90 kWh unit, which, according to company claims, offers a range of 548 km per charge. It also comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionalities as well.
As mentioned, veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini also recently bought herself an MG M9 electric MPV. She took delivery of her MG M9 during Ganesh Chaturthi, and the vehicle was delivered to her at her residence. In addition to the MG M9, the actor also owns a Land Rover Defender, a BMW X7, and a Mercedes-AMG C43.
