Bollywood Actress Kritika Kamra Buys New Mercedes Benz E-Class

Indian actress Kritika Kamra is known for her work in television, movies and web series. She is best noted for her roles in Bheed, Bambai Meri Jaan and Gyaarah Gyaarah. The actress will play one of the female leads in Anusha Rizvi's upcoming project. Celebrating her successful career, Kamra has now added a new vehicle to her garage- a Mercedes Benz E Class LWB, finished in Black. Pictures of the delivery were shared on Instagram by Mercedes-Benz Auto Hangar India Pvt Ltd, a dealership in Mumbai.

The images show the actress receiving the car along with her family. Her mom is seen performing rituals on the newly-bought vehicle. The actress has chosen the Obsidian Black as her preferred colourway. The new E's palette consists of five shades- High Tech Silver, Graphite Grey, Obsidian Black, Polar White and Nautic Blue.

Mercedes Benz launched the sixth-gen E-Class (V214) in India in October 2024. It had a starting launch price of. Rs 78.5 lakh (ex-showroom)- 2.5 lakh more than the entry price of its predecessor. At the time of writing this article, the base price has jumped to Rs 79.50 lakh.

The new E-class comes in three variants- E200, E 450 4MATIC and E220d. The first two are powered by petrol engines while the E220d comes with a diesel powertrain. In the Indian market, the BMW 5 series continues to be the E-Class' strongest rival.

The E-Class has always been popular among celebrities and the affluent. The newest generation continues to be in the LWB (Long Wheelbase) form. Interestingly, India is the only market where Mercedes Benz sells the E-Class LWB in the Right Hand Drive (RHD) form.

The new generation E Class is notably larger than its predecessor. The length has gone up by 14 mm while the height has increased by 13 mm. Even the wheelbase has had an upward revision of 15 mm.

The design now draws inspiration from several Mercedes EQ models. The front end looks fresh and stylish. It now comes with a large, reworked front grille, oversized 3D logo, revised front bumper, new flush-type door handles, stylish 18-inch wheels, new connected tail lamps and a generous use of Chrome. Interestingly, the spare wheel now sits below the boot floor.

The new sedan's cabin hosts major improvements. The increased wheelbase translates to more room and occupant comfort. The rear seats can recline up to 36 degrees and have extendable thigh supports and neck pillows. The rear windows and quarter glasses get electric blinds as well.

The new E-Class also comes with the carmaker's Super Screen layout. It consists of a 14.4-inch central screen, a smaller 12.3-inch display for the passenger and a third 12.3-inch unit for instrumentation. The vehicle also boasts a 730W, 4D surround sound system by Burmester. This features 17 speakers and four exciters. Mercedes Benz is also offering a Chauffeur package on the E-Class. It is unclear if the actress has opted for this.

Mercedes Benz offers three different engine options on the new E class- a 3.0L six-cylinder turbocharged petrol, a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo-petrol and a 2.0L four-cylinder diesel. Kamra hasn't revealed which of these she has opted for.

The safety suite on the new E Class consists of 8 airbags, level 2 ADAS suite, customizable Active Brake Assist and more. The carmaker has made significant changes to the E's suspension. The new setup is claimed to offer a smoother and more comfortable ride to the rear occupants.
