A video has been circulating on various social media platforms over the last couple of days. In this video, we see a yellow-coloured Lamborghini Gallardo sports car being driven on the empty roads of Gurgaon at night. In the video, the driver is seen driving the car recklessly, and it looks like this was intentionally done to create content for social media. The video went viral on the internet, and even the cops noticed the same. They have now filed a case against the person who was driving the car in the video.

The video seen here has been shared by NDTV on their Instagram page. As per reports, the incident happened on Golf Course Road in DLF Phase-1 in Gurgaon. The road looked pretty empty, and we are assuming that this happened late at night.

The video shows the Gallardo being driven on the road while the driver had his head hanging out of the window. We can clearly hear the sporty exhaust note of the sports car in the video. The driver was looking at the car that was recording the video and was driving the car for the sake of creating content. The registration number of the car is missing, and that is a challenge that the officers are currently facing.

In the video, we see the car changing lanes rapidly and overtaking vehicles from the left lane at high speed during the night. The authorities have come across the video and have filed a case against the unknown driver for reckless driving and endangering lives.

Inspector Rajesh Kumar Bagri, Station House Officer (SHO), told the media that they took suo motu cognizance of the undated incident and that the investigation has already started. They are currently trying to trace the owner of the car seen in the video. He said, “Across the city, there are only four such owners whose descriptions seem to match. The rest have Lamborghinis of different colours. We have contacted three of them and verified that they weren’t involved after getting details from the transport department… one is now left.”

Cops have filed a case against the driver under Sections 125, 281, and 57 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for endangering lives, reckless driving, and aiding the commission of an offence, respectively. They are not only looking for the Lamborghini Gallardo but also for the cars from which the video was recorded.

This is not the first time we have come across an incident like this from Gurugram or elsewhere in India. In most cases, such stunts or reckless behaviour are seen on the road for the sake of creating viral content for social media. In the past, we have come across several videos of social media influencers performing stunts on public roads and getting into trouble with the cops for the same reason. By doing such stunts, they are not only putting their own lives but also the lives of other road users at risk.

Heavy fines are issued, and in some cases, even the cars or bikes are seized. Hopefully, the officers will be able to trace the owner soon and issue a heavy fine for this irresponsible behaviour. The officers told the media that such behaviour cannot be encouraged, as it would send the wrong message and might encourage many others to violate rules on the road.
