Lamborghini Crashes On Mumbai’s Coastal Road: Raymond CEO Gautam Singhania Posts Video

In the last 24 hours, we have come across several videos on social media about the recent Lamborghini Huracan crash on Mumbai’s Coastal Road. The video has gone viral, and we have seen several posts where people are trying to explain what might have happened. Raymond CEO and billionaire businessman Gautam Singhania, who is known to criticize the Italian brand, did not spare the chance this time either. He posted the video of the Lamborghini Huracan crash on his social media profile.

The video has been shared by Gautam Singhania, but we are not sure if he was actually present at the location when the crash occurred. Gautam Singhania, as we all know, is a car enthusiast, and we have seen him perform stunts in his custom-built cars on special occasions and events.

This time around, Mr. Singhania posted the video with a caption: “Another day, another Lamborghini mishap ?? This time on Mumbai’s Coastal Road at 9:15 AM this morning. Do these cars even have traction control? From catching fire to losing grip – what’s going on with Lamborghini?”

In the video that has been doing the rounds on the internet, we can see an orange-colored Lamborghini Huracan moving fast through Mumbai’s Coastal Road. The surface was wet due to rain, and we can clearly see water on the road. It looks like the car drove over a patch of water, and as it was carrying good speed, the supercar lost control and spun out on the road. The car spun a couple of times and crashed into the railings.

The front of the supercar crashed into the median and suffered the most damage. In the video, we can see that the front bumper, headlights, bonnet, and fenders of the Huracan have been damaged. It doesn’t look like the wheels on this Huracan were damaged. The rear of the car also suffered minor damage, as it might have hit the railing while it spun out.

What Happened?

From the video, it looks like the supercar only lost control after it hit the small patch of water, and we assume that aquaplaning was the culprit here. What is aquaplaning? It happens when a thin layer of water forms between the tire and the road. When this happens, the tire, which is the only point of contact with the road, stops responding to steering feedback, and the car loses control. The risk of aquaplaning increases as the speed of the vehicle increases.

It can happen on wet roads if you are driving at high speed or even when you drive through a pool of water, because the treads on the tire are not getting enough time to push the water out and maintain grip.

While a car like the Lamborghini Huracan does have tech like traction control and more, aquaplaning can still occur, as it depends entirely on the speed of the vehicle. Coming back to Gautam Singhania, he has been putting out posts on social media against Lamborghini cars for quite some time now.
