DC2 Dilip Chhabria Modifies A Land Rover Defender 130's Interior Into A Lounge

The Land Rover Defender is currently one of the hottest and most trending luxury SUVs in the country. This SUV boasts a rugged and bold exterior design and a supremely luxurious interior. However, there are people who think that the luxury offered by Land Rover is not enough. For this reason, recently, a Defender has been given a lounge treatment by none other than DC2 Dilip Chhabria. This particular SUV gets two captain’s chairs, a fold-out smart television, and a lot more, making it the ultimate luxury lounge on wheels.
The video showing the DC2 Dilip Chhabria-modified Land Rover Defender has been shared on Instagram by the official page of the company. First off, the video shows this Land Rover Defender 130 from the outside. It can be noted that the exterior has been kept completely stock and is not unique or different from the standard model. However, it is the inside that has been completely transformed.
Following the exterior beauty shots, the video then shows the interior of this Land Rover Defender. It can be noted that the main highlight of this interior is the two 22-inch wide individual captain’s chairs. To fit these seats, the middle-row and third-row seats of the Defender have been removed. These seats offer features like massage and reclining, and they come equipped with in-built ottomans, which can be raised to increase comfort.
Additionally, the Defender has been given a set of fold-out tables, which have been placed on the sides of the two seats. These tables can be hidden away and used for meals or work. Apart from these, the company has also added a long center console, which divides the interior into two halves. This entire console has been wrapped in beautiful tan leather and gets a hidden storage space.
Also, there is a touchscreen that has been placed on this center console, and it can control various functions of the seats. The same touchscreen also controls the powered window drapes, which add another touch of luxury to this vehicle's interior. As mentioned in the beginning, this car also gets a massive 32-inch smart television, which can be deployed from the roof when in use.
Being the Defender 130 variant, this particular SUV gets a moonroof on top of the individual captain’s seats, which provides another unique and luxurious element. The overall interior is finished in shades of tan and black, and there are brushed silver elements as well, which add to the overall class of this cabin. The company has not revealed the cost of this entire modification.
The Land Rover Defender 130 is the longest version of the Defender, and it comes in a seven-seater configuration. This SUV starts at ₹1.30 crore. It is offered with two engine options. The first is a 3.0-litre petrol engine (P400) that produces a maximum power of 394 BHP and 550 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other option for this massive SUV is a 3.0-litre diesel engine (D300) that delivers 296 BHP and 600 Nm of torque.
Both engines come paired with mild-hybrid technology and a four-wheel-drive system. Amitabh Bachchan’s Land Rover Defender 130 is powered by the 3.0-litre diesel engine. Popular Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan both own these SUVs. Also, Patanjali Ayurved’s face, Baba Ramdev, owns one.
